Properties of Square Numbers
- Number ending with 2, 3, 7 and 8 is never a perfect square.
- The square of an even number is even.
- The square of an odd number is odd.
- The product of two consecutive even or odd numbers (a+1)(a-1) = a2 - 1
Meaning of Square Root
- The square root of a particular number is the number which when multiplied by itself reaches the particular number.
- Eg. The square root of 16 is 4 since, when 4 is multiplied by itself, it becomes 16. [4 x 4 = 16]

Pythagorean Triplets
- A Pythagorean Triplet consists of three positive integers a, b, and c, such that a2 + b2 = c2.
- For every natural number m > 1, (2m) , (m2 - 1), (m2 + 1) is a Pythagorean Triplet.

- A square number is the product obtained when a number is multiplied by itself.
- Eg. The square of 4 is 4 x 4 = 16.
