Simile

Personification
- Personification attributes non-human entities human traits.
- Non-human entities can be anything, including things, animals, ideas, and concepts.
- Usage: The stars winked in the night sky.
Alliteration
- Alliteration is the deliberate reiteration of the first consonant of adjacent words in a sentence.
- It imparts a melodic, lyrical, or emotive effect to the writing.
- Usage: Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers
Hyperbole
- Hyperboles are exaggerated assertions or statements.
- It gives the impression that something is far more amazing than it actually is.
