Subject - Verb Agreement
1. If the subject is singular, add 'S' to the verb
- Example: The dog walk+(s) down the street
- The dog walks down the street.
2. If the Subject is plural, do not add 'S' to the verb
- Example: The dogs walk down the street
3. If the subject is 'I' or 'You', do not add 'S'
- Example: I walk the dog
- Example: You walk the dog
4. Linking Verbs - Singular
- Example: Was, has, is, does, am
- Sentence: The dog was walking down the street.
5. Linking Verbs - Pural
- Example: were, have, are, do
- Sentence: The dogs were walking down the street
