Grandma's House
1 Nana's house is very special.1 Grandma's house is like a treasure chest, filled with collections in every corner. When I was younger, I didn't pay much attention to them. But as I grew up, I started asking Grandma about her things.
2 In her kitchen, there's a bunch of stuff with horses on them. I asked Grandma why she collects them, and she told me that Dad gave her the first horse cookie jar when he was little. Now Dad is 36.
3 So, I went to the dining room and pointed to a teapot. I asked Grandma about it, and she chuckled but then shared a story.
4 A long time ago, when Grandma and Grandpa were dating, they used to go to a restaurant with a store inside. Grandma saw a teapot she liked, but it was too expensive. She hoped it would go on sale before her birthday, but it disappeared from the store. On her birthday, Grandpa surprised her with the teapot and a matching plate. That happened before Dad was born and before Grandma and Grandpa got married.
