Heather Dorey is an educator with over 13 years’ experience as a classroom teacher, gifted education teacher, and curriculum writer. Heather’s favorite age group is middle school, particularly 6th grade language arts and social studies, but she has enjoyed working with students at all levels from Kindergarten through 8th grade. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, Heather enjoys curriculum planning almost as much as she loves teaching. Originally from Arizona, Heather currently resides in Northeast Tennessee with her two teenage daughters, husband, three dogs, and two cats. When she’s not working Heather enjoys reading, doing various craft projects, cooking, hiking, and traveling.
