00:36	watched our video on Dr King and said we really
00:39	enjoyed learning about the life of Dr martin , Luther
00:42	king , Jr that is awesome . His life and
00:45	legacy are important to learn about . That was so
00:51	much fun . We would love for you to watch

01:00	Yeah , well , as we mentioned earlier in this
01:03	video , we're going to learn phonics , which is
01:06	so awesome . You're gonna see why in a second
01:10	. Mhm . As a matter of fact , phonics
01:14	teaches us the sounds that letters make . Sounds pretty
01:18	important right ? Phonics teaches us the sounds that letters
01:22	make . Yeah . If you know what sound the
01:26	letter makes , you can read and do other awesome
01:28	things . Mhm . Yeah . Think of reading like
01:33	solving a puzzle whenever you need to read something it
01:36	is like a fun puzzle . Every letter is a
01:42	piece to the puzzle . When you know what sound
01:45	the letter makes , you have another piece to the
01:47	puzzle . To figure out what it is saying .
01:52	When you learn phonics you are really finding puzzle pieces
01:57	. To help you read . By the end of
02:01	this video you will know the main sounds of each
02:05	letter . How cool is that ? Okay now two
02:10	things we want to say right at the beginning .
02:13	First we are goofy and have a lot of fun
02:16	. That's just a warning . The second thing we
02:21	are just learning the main sound of each letter .
02:24	There are special times where a letter can make different
02:26	sounds . But in this video we are going to
02:29	learn the primary sound each letter makes . Yeah it's
02:35	time let's learn the sounds of the first five letters
02:39	of the alphabet . First we have the letter A
02:45	. And the letter A . Says ah ah that's
02:49	right . Ah Think of an alligator , alligator uh
02:58	alligator . Uh huh . A . Says yeah yeah
03:05	let's try it . Ah uh ah For alligator ah
03:15	Uh huh . Mhm . A . Says ah yeah
03:21	the letter B . Is different . The letter B
03:24	. Says but like with the word bear , bear
03:29	, bear be says . But can you say buck

03:47	but so our first two puzzle pieces are uh and

08:34	Huh huh . Let's learn a couple more sounds .
08:42	And then we're going to start putting these awesome letters
08:45	together . Next we are going to look at the
08:50	letter I the letter I says it . Yeah .
08:55	Can you say like with the word insect insect ?
09:03	I says it a mm Let's practice that . Yeah
09:13	. I says it . Think of an insect .
09:18	I says it . Yeah . Uh huh . Yeah
09:26	. And then we have J which says jah ,
09:30	jah , jah . Like with the word Jet Jet
09:34	starts with J . It has the job just sound
09:39	. Isn't that cool ? J . Says just let's

09:51	You've got the hang of it . Just uh Yeah
09:55	. Uh huh . Job Jonah . You have been
10:02	doing such a great job learning . So we have
10:06	collected 10 puzzle pieces . Uh huh But cup .

10:19	. And just uh let's see how you are doing
10:22	by playing a game . We are calling this game
10:28	top middle or bottom . We're going to show you
10:32	three words , a top word , a middle word
10:36	and a bottom word . And then we're going to
10:38	say one of those words . And you have to
10:41	let us know whether we are saying the top word
10:44	, the middle word or the bottom word . All
10:49	right , here is our first one . We hope
10:50	you are ready . Look at these three words .
10:53	Which word says big . Which word says big is
10:59	at the top word ? The middle word or the
11:03	bottom word . Remember to check the puzzle pieces .
11:08	Yes , the bottom word says big . Yes ,
11:12	let's check . But egg big , Great job .
11:18	Big is the bottom word . Yeah . Okay ,
11:24	so which word says dig dig , mm . Which
11:30	word should be a little easier . Yes , dig
11:35	is the top word and we can check by looking
11:38	at the sounds right . Duh dig dig . Great

11:48	more word . It's this middle word . Use the
11:51	puzzle pieces . What does this word say ? What

13:37	learn more sounds and apparently it's time to look at
13:41	this family of Rhinos . What does this afternoon with
13:46	anything ? Let's get back to the letters . We
13:47	have more to learn . We have 16 more letters
13:50	to learn . Let's keep the fun going . We're

14:10	with the word kangaroo . Uh And you'll notice that's

17:38	phonics you know cats aren't great at fonix so we're
17:41	gonna need to tell Mr Whiskers what sounds these letters
17:45	make ? Okay let's tell Mr Whiskers what the letter

17:57	does the letter M sound like ? Uh huh .

21:21	word raccoon when you think of an are you can
21:24	think of a raccoon and you've got that sound right
21:28	there right ? That's the r sound . The letter
21:36	R . Says can you say that ? Uh huh
21:42	. Think about raccoon . Uh uh Our says .
21:48	Uh huh mm . Then we have the letter S
21:56	which is super simple . Alright that's really corny .
