00:0-1 If you think about brains and being smart , you
00:02 probably think of Albert Einstein , we are going to
00:06 investigate the life of Albert Einstein to see how he
00:09 became one of the most famous scientists in the history
00:13 of our world . Albert Einstein was born in Germany
00:18 in 1879 . His parents had no idea there son
00:22 Albert would change the way we look at the universe
00:28 . He didn't speak until he was four years old
00:31 , later than most Children . Even after he started
00:34 speaking , he would practice the sentences in his mind
00:37 to make sure he got them right . But one
00:39 thing that did come quickly and naturally to him was
00:43 math . He was a math whiz . He began
00:47 teaching himself high level math , impressing his family tutor
00:52 . He was also fascinated with physics , a type
00:55 of science that deals with matter and energy . Physics
00:59 and math would be his obsession throughout his life .
01:04 He went on to enroll in a mathematics and physics
01:07 program to get his teaching diploma . He wanted to
01:10 be a teacher , sharing his love for math and
01:13 physics with all of the wonderful students he could ,
01:16 but after graduating he couldn't find a teaching job and
01:19 instead worked in a patent office while working in the
01:23 patent office . He still lived out his passion writing
01:27 papers and making discoveries that he would publish . He
01:31 finally became noticed in the scientific world , releasing some
01:36 incredible papers that changed the way we understood our world
01:41 , space and time . He became a professor ,
01:47 was a sought after speaker and became famous around the
01:51 world . He would go on to win a Nobel
01:54 Peace Prize , one of the most special awards anyone
01:58 can receive . And he traveled to many countries sharing
02:01 not only his knowledge of physics and math , but
02:03 his heart about other subjects . To Albert Einstein was
02:08 brilliant using math and physics to help us better understand
02:12 our universe . Now things are going to get interesting
02:18 . Okay we're going to show you two discoveries made
02:21 by Albert Einstein . We are going to make it
02:24 so fun and simple . Even Mr Whiskers could understand
02:28 it . Just stare blankly into space if you agree
02:30 . Mr Whiskers , Mr Whiskers he always does that
02:35 . One of Albert Einstein's biggest discoveries was this equation
02:40 , you might have heard of it . E .
02:42 Equals M . C . Squared the E . Stands
02:48 for energy , the M . Stands for mass and
02:52 the C . Stands for the speed of light .
02:55 It means an object has the same amount of energy
02:59 as it has mass and that energy can move at
03:03 the speed of light superfast . So Mr whiskers you
03:07 have the same amount of energy as you have mass
03:10 and that energy can move at the speed of light
03:13 which you're just lying around . Go use your energy
03:17 you have the same amount of energy as you do
03:21 mass . Go play . It means if you know
03:26 the mass of an object , you know the energy
03:29 right ? It is the same amount . So if
03:35 anyone ever says E equals M . C . Squared
03:38 , just say to them , I know what that
03:40 is about . It's about energy and mass . Then
03:43 give them a high five and say homeschool pop three
03:45 times they might run away . Though another discovery made
03:50 by Albert Einstein is the theory of general relativity .
03:54 We are going to make it super simple for you
03:57 . Mr Whiskers . Okay . And for the kids
03:59 , general relativity explains how gravity works . Large objects
04:06 like the earth . Bend space . The space pressing
04:10 down on us is gravity in our solar system .
04:13 The Sun causes the stretchy space to curve , causing
04:18 the Earth to rotate around the sun . Just like
04:21 space can be curvy , so can time , time
04:24 and space are relative mr whiskers . They depend on
04:28 things like the massive objects around it . Time and
04:32 space are bendy and bendy . Space is how gravity
04:36 really works . E . Equals M . C .
04:38 Squared is all about energy and mass and general relativity
04:42 explains how gravity works . Who ? Physics and math
04:49 . Thanks Einstein . Thank you . Thank you .
04:54 Now you know a little more about Albert Einstein's life
04:58 and two of his discoveries , How crazy would it
05:01 be if you shared this knowledge with a friend ?
05:03 It would be like what ? How do you even
05:05 know that ? How do you even know that math
05:09 and physics are so cool though ? And so are

05:19 internet land and we'll see you soon . Yeah .
