| 00:17 | $35.70 . What change should you get ? Let's actually | |
| 00:22 | use that example . There's something that costs , What | |
| 00:25 | do I say ? $35 70 and you pay with | |
| 00:29 | a $50 note . How much change should you get | |
| 00:34 | ? So I think it's a really , really important | |
| 00:36 | skill this one because it's something you want to be | |
| 00:38 | able to work out pretty much instantaneously and it doesn't | |
| 00:42 | happen straight away . It is something that does involve | |
| 00:44 | a bit of practice . Okay , so look often | |
| 00:49 | you don't necessarily trust you're going to get the right | |
| 00:51 | change . I mean we all know that occasionally get | |
| 00:53 | under change or something like this . That's a really | |
| 00:54 | , really good little skill just to know for certain | |
| 00:57 | . Without having a bit of calculation . You can | |
| 00:59 | do it quickly in your head , sort of thing | |

| 01:03 | I do this ? Well , there's a little trick | |
| 01:04 | which I do . I tend to look at these | |
| 01:06 | first numbers here . Um And what I do is | |
| 01:09 | I usually say something like this . 35 treaties , | |
| 01:12 | one number . Okay , 50 is not that hard | |
| 01:14 | to deal with 35 and 50 , but what I | |
| 01:16 | do is I actually Count this number up and I'll | |
| 01:19 | show you what I mean . I move it up | |
| 01:20 | one . So 35 would become 36 50 . Take | |
| 01:25 | away . 36 is 14 . So I should be | |
| 01:28 | Getting $4 million . $14 . What ? Well to | |
| 01:32 | get up to a dollar from 70 Underneath 30 cents | |
| 01:37 | . So $14.30 . That's how Not that bad . | |
| 01:45 | I'll give you another one . Mhm . So , | |
| 01:49 | so we go into a shop and something costs uh | |
| 01:53 | say $9.70 . And I go in and I pay | |
