| 00:05 | nine . It's a , it's a funny little trick | |
| 00:06 | actually because uh , the answer we get , we | |
| 00:09 | actually don't do too much divided by nine . There's | |
| 00:11 | a little bit where we have to , it's , | |
| 00:12 | it's funny enough , uses the answer we've already got | |
| 00:14 | before to get , uh , subsequent parts of the | |
| 00:17 | answer . It's it's rather a good one . Anyway | |
| 00:19 | , I'll give you an example of this . You're | |
| 00:20 | not going to believe this one if you've never seen | |
| 00:22 | it before . Okay , so let's start with say | |
| 00:24 | number like 1,321,101 . And we're going to divide this | |
| 00:31 | number by nine and there's a couple of little steps | |
| 00:34 | in this and we'll have our answer very quickly . | |
| 00:37 | So the first thing we do to get our first | |
| 00:39 | part of the answer , we just copy this part | |
| 00:41 | down here . So there's the first part of my | |
| 00:43 | answer one . And then what we do to get | |
| 00:45 | the next part is we start , we add this | |
| 00:47 | part , we add this number here , so one | |
| 00:49 | plus three , one plus 3 is four at this | |
| 00:53 | time . To get the next 14 plus two , | |
| 00:56 | six plus one is seven plus one is eight plus | |
| 01:02 | . Nothing is also an eight hair calls that now | |
| 01:06 | with this part here we do something a little bit | |
| 01:08 | differently , treated a little bit differently . We get | |
| 01:10 | out and we add it to one and we get | |
| 01:13 | nine . But this very last number we actually do | |
| 01:17 | divide nine in two . Okay , nine divided by | |
| 01:19 | nine equals one . And this number we add to | |
| 01:23 | our answer , so we add one here . So | |
| 01:26 | the answer becomes I'll put it just rather than rewriting | |
| 01:29 | the whole number out . Eight plus one is nine | |
| 01:33 | . So an answer here is 146,799 . How cool | |
