00:04 | solving linear equations with variables on both sides . This | |
00:08 | is a pretty easy thing to do . So I'll | |
00:10 | show you a way of doing this . Um now | |
00:13 | these are the questions that look like this . They | |
00:15 | might get something that looks like three X plus four | |
00:20 | . The calls two X plus six . Now , | |
00:26 | as you see , we got variables on both sides | |
00:28 | of these are these ones here , these three X | |
00:29 | and two X . And we also generally have these | |
00:32 | standard constant numbers is four . And these six here | |
00:35 | , do you notice we have 44 ? Number three | |
00:37 | ? We have three X . We have positive four | |
00:39 | . We have positive two X . And we have | |
00:42 | six . So we're going to solve this by basically | |
00:44 | grouping all the X numbers on one side of the | |
00:48 | equation and all the other numbers on the other side | |
00:51 | of the equation . Now to do this is fairly | |
00:53 | simple . Pretty much . We're going to try and | |
00:56 | get these exes over this side and all these other | |
00:58 | numbers on this side . So to get this two | |
01:02 | X on this side , pretty much what you're going | |
01:04 | to see at the moment , we can get rid | |
01:05 | of this two X . It's a positive two X | |
01:07 | . We can take it away . If we take | |
01:09 | it off this side we can take it off this | |
01:11 | side as well . Okay ? And you can see | |
01:15 | that if we do that to X take away two | |
01:17 | X gets rid of it , Okay ? It ends | |
01:19 | up with nothing and three X take away two X | |
01:22 | . Is just X . Okay , I also want | |
01:25 | to get this four on this side . So to | |
01:27 | do this at the moment it's a positive for I'm | |
01:30 | going to take it off both sides . Okay , | |

01:39 | we generally solve these , but you can probably see | |
01:41 | that we can skip a few steps here . Okay | |

01:46 | four off this side as obviously as we do it | |
01:49 | here . Pretty much all we do here is I | |
01:51 | look at the often just look at the sign here | |
01:53 | this positive for and I take it off the other | |
01:56 | side and just get rid of it here . I'll | |
01:57 | show you what I mean . Okay . Same question | |

03:54 | 10 . This means X equals five . Okay , | |

04:07 | where are reached ? Okay . So X take away | |
04:12 | three echoes for X man plus six . Okay . | |

04:33 | do is we're going to get rid of this four | |
04:35 | exhale and I'm going to take it off this side | |

04:39 | . Now you're gonna see this is a -3 . | |
04:41 | So I'm gonna do the opposite of what it says | |
04:42 | . I'm going to add it to both sides , | |
04:44 | I'm gonna add it over here . Okay ? Alright | |
04:48 | X Take Away four X . Is going to be | |
04:54 | -3x . Okay . And this equals 3.6 which is | |
04:59 | nine . Okay , so pretty much we multiply both | |
05:03 | sides by minus one . We're going to end up | |
05:05 | with three X equals minus nine And therefore x equals | |
05:12 | we divide both sides by three part of three . | |
