00:0-1 Good day . Welcome to take Math Channel . What
00:02 we're going to be having to look at in this
00:03 video is one of my favorite math multiplication methods .
00:06 How to multiply 22 digit numbers faster on the calculator
00:10 . So lets us launch straight into this . We're
00:12 launching with an example . Can you do this in
00:14 six seconds ? 21 times 30 to go . Alright
00:22 . I reckon time's up . Did you get the
00:24 following answer ? Did you get the answer of 672
00:28 ? If you did . Congratulations . If you're still
00:30 looking around for a calculator are still trying to work
00:32 it out . I'll tell you what I'm going to
00:34 show you right now . How to do this really
00:37 , really fast . Okay . It's a pretty cool
00:39 method . Okay , so you're gonna have to do
00:40 all the more education when you do this ? But
00:42 it's uh it's a more efficient way of doing it
00:45 . So the first thing we're gonna have a look
00:46 at is the units here , the two and the
00:49 one . And we're gonna multiply these to get our
00:50 units answer . So one time soon will give us
00:53 our units answer to . The next thing we do
00:56 is we're gonna look at the tennis part of our
00:58 answer . We're gonna multiply those different numbers together .
01:00 So we have a tense party which is the three
01:02 were the tense party , which is to say we're
01:04 gonna multiply the 30 by one and we're gonna multiply
01:07 the 20 here by two . We're gonna add our
01:09 two answers together . So three times one he's three
01:13 tooth ones too is four . We're going to add
01:16 those two answers together and get the tens part over
01:18 answer . Three plus four is seven . The last
01:22 thing we're gonna do is we're going to multiply these
01:24 two tens parts to get the hundreds part of our
01:27 answer . So two times three equals six . And
01:31 that's how we get our answer is 672 . Pretty
01:34 cool . Right ? I'll tell you what . We'll
01:35 go through a couple of examples . Hang up .
01:37 Please remember if you do like this video , remember
01:40 do like and subscribe to the tech math channel and
01:43 if you really want to be a part of the
01:44 tech math channel , you'll see that there's a patron
01:47 link underneath and it'll be really , really great .
01:49 Big shout out to my patrons by the way .
01:51 So let's go through another example here . What about
01:53 we do 32 times 12 . What about you give
01:57 this a go . We'll see what that equals .
01:59 So first off , do the units part . Okay
02:02 , so we have two times two is four .
02:06 The next part we do this rainbow part where it
02:08 looks like a bit of a rainbow to get our
02:11 tens part . We're gonna go to times one which
02:12 is two and three times two which is six .
02:16 And we're gonna add these two answers together . Two
02:18 plus six equals eight For the last by her answer
02:22 . Three times one . Well that's pretty easy .
02:25 That's three . Our answer . 384 . Oh good
02:29 . We'll go through a couple more examples . There
02:31 is a bit of a complication with this and we'll
02:32 have a bit of a look at that in this
02:34 next question . Okay . There is a slight bit
02:36 of our guess carrying across that you do have to
02:38 do occasionally . So let's have a bit of a
02:40 look at that with this particular example here , 46
02:44 times 14 . All right . How would you go
02:47 about doing that ? So first off let's work out
02:49 the units part . Okay , so six fours 24
02:53 . Now when I put this in , you're gonna
02:54 see that I I'm not just going to write the
02:56 entire 24 down . I'm gonna put the four down
02:58 and I'm gonna put a little too up here just
03:00 to tell me because it's too it's a 20 so
03:02 it's part of the tens part . So it's gonna
03:03 be the next part of our answer is gonna fall
03:05 with that next part . So for our next part
03:08 we have a one time to six and of four
03:10 times before . So one times six is 64 times
03:13 four is 16 . We're also going to be adding
03:17 on our two as well . So six Plus 16
03:20 is 22 Plus two is 24 . You can guess
03:25 that we're probably gonna carry across that to here as
03:27 well to our hundreds part of the answer . And
03:29 for our hundreds path we just multiply these last numbers
03:32 here . Four times one is four plus two Is
03:37 six . All right . One last question here .
03:40 Well , I'm rubbing this out and we'll remember if
03:42 you like this video , please hit the like button
03:45 . Okay ? It does help us out when you
03:46 do that . So , let's have a look at
03:48 one last question here . Uh 57 times 82 .
03:54 All right . We're not just going to go the
03:55 easy numbers . Let's go for you the harder ones
03:57 . All right . So , uh okay . First
04:00 thing we get the unit seven times two is 14
04:03 . Okay . But the little one up there .
04:04 Next thing we're gonna do is this rainbow bit of
04:06 multiplication here . Okay , So 78 to 56 .
04:10 We're gonna add that to Two times five , which
04:13 is 10 . We're also going to add to that
04:14 . This extra one here that we carried over .
04:16 So 56 , 67 . All right . The very
04:22 last part of what we have is 58-40 plus is
04:25 six here we have this answer of 46 , So
04:32 what did you think of that particular math tree ?
04:35 Hopefully you liked it and please remember if you do
04:37 like it , hit the like button . Do comment
04:40 . Okay . There are other videos coming up there
04:42 not just all gonna be math tricks . Okay ?
04:43 So please remember they do like to subscribe and do
04:46 become a patreon . Okay , Thank you for watching
04:49 . See you next time boy .
