01:14 Hello to you from Ho yvonne , Good to see
01:17 you Lena Ronnie . Hi there , stunning lad .
01:22 One is here too as well as Jonathan . Hi
01:24 there guys , Happy to see you all here and
01:27 my first thanks goes out to some of the early
01:31 sign ups on Patreon . Some of you already know
01:33 my big news . I do have a new page
01:36 on Patreon . I already have some sign ups .
01:39 Two people are already here , stunning lad one ,
01:41 thank you for signing up , Ronnie . Thank you
01:44 for signing up . Hopefully we'll have a bigger group
01:48 by the end of the day . So , all
01:50 right , what's my favorite food ? That's a random
01:53 question . My favorite meal is breakfast . And I
01:56 think if you've um listened to enough of my videos
02:00 , you'll know that I like pancakes , waffles ,
02:02 all the things that aren't so good for you .
02:04 But I also do like fresh fruit with yogurt ,
02:07 so Camilla . Hello , how are you ? Glad
02:10 to have you here from Colombia ? So , the
02:13 goal today guys , is to share my news ,
02:15 Tell you about memberships , how they can help your
02:17 studies and also just to give you a taste of
02:20 the kinds of activities that I do with members .
02:23 Um , so there's a lot that I can offer
02:26 and of course , um there's at one level ,
02:28 the free level , I love to share my videos
02:31 , videos on youtube will remain free . I post
02:33 a lesson every thursday and I'm also on instagram .
02:37 So please follow me their english with jennifer Lebedev ,
02:40 I post a short clip every monday . These are
02:43 all free resources that I share with you on a
02:46 weekly basis to support your studies . The question is
02:49 , what more can I do ? How else can
02:52 I support your studies ? And that's where memberships come
02:55 in . Okay , Yes , we're up and running
02:58 . Let's see if I can do my fancy magic
03:01 here and share my screen . I'm going to make
03:04 sure that I have things ready for you to see
03:09 and read . Let's see what that looks like .
03:13 I'm going to see if you see my presentation .
03:20 I'm not a professional tv broadcasting station here , but
03:24 with a few clicks I can share my screen and
03:27 then it'll be easier to share information that way .
03:31 Ashwari , I'm doing pretty well today . Thank you
03:34 . Thank you for everyone who has been asking about
03:36 that second surgery . Um it was more successful than
03:39 the first , I'm happy to say . So I'm
03:41 doing pretty well . I don't have an echo in
03:43 my heat , my ear , so that makes it
03:45 a whole lot easier for me to speak and have
03:49 conversations . Okay , so we're going to talk about
03:54 how we can have more interaction together . How can
03:57 I offer more in depth study . There are two
04:01 platforms . Now , I've already had the membership program
04:04 on Youtube and now I'm adding a second platform ,
04:07 Patreon . So first , let me tell you those
04:10 of you who can see this joint button . Um
04:13 you click it and find out what I can offer
04:15 you . My goal is to deliver a lot of
04:18 value for a dollar a month , For $0.99 a
04:21 month . You get language tasks twice a week ,
04:24 visit the community tab . There are public posts and
04:27 then there are exclusive member posts . That's where I
04:30 share the language tasks . Some people , a few
04:33 people are actively there faithfully , they're getting the most
04:36 they can out of this program . Um some I
04:40 think forget that those tasks are on the community tab
04:43 , but I am their Mondays and Wednesdays posting short
04:47 language tasks . They're often based on my videos .
04:50 Um sometimes they're open ended . I'm going to give
04:53 you a sample of those tasks very soon . Um
04:57 I also have custom audio gifts on emoji . Um
05:00 that's something new . It's really cool . It's not
05:02 just cool , it's actually instructive . They are audio
05:06 gifts , which means you get to hear my voice
05:08 and my pronunciation as I say , common expressions like
05:11 talk to you later . Yeah , sure thing .
05:14 So if you start to hear my language , my
05:16 intonation , my rhythm , perhaps that will then help
05:20 you use these common expressions in conversation , but they're
05:24 also very common phrases that people use in text in
05:28 text chats and you can use them in my message
05:31 , my message on WhatsApp and facebook messenger . And
05:35 the third and very valuable perk is exclusive access to
05:39 a previously recorded member only playlist . So it's a
05:42 playlist of live streams and these live streams took place
05:46 around like 2 2018 2019 . There now a collection
05:50 over 13 hours of instruction and they're yours for again
05:55 99 cents a month . Um , so let me
05:58 show you some of the things that we've done ,
06:00 those of you like from ho who are there regularly
06:03 on the community tab , these may look familiar to
06:05 you , but some of you have never seen them
06:08 before . So this is a sample task of what
06:11 I might post monday or Wednesday . I might choose
06:14 an old grammar video . Maybe you've seen it ,
06:16 maybe you haven't , but it's a good chance to
06:18 review some sort of grammar point , vocabulary writing ,
06:22 etcetera . So I take some expressions from the video
06:26 and it might be a fill in the blank .
06:28 So as I read through these , I'm going to
06:31 be checking the chat and seeing if those of you
06:34 listening to me can complete those sentences . We have
06:38 expressions from time to time . From beginning to end
06:43 until the end of the year and from 9 to
06:46 5 if you watch the video you'll be more familiar
06:51 with these expressions . Time expressions . So for example
06:55 , number one for most people a typical work day
06:58 is uh huh . Which expression makes the most sense
07:05 . I'll wait a moment and see if you guys
07:07 can catch up . Hey liliana , I see you
07:10 there in cash . Ob gracias Hello assim Tiago .
07:14 Good to have you guys here . Mhm . Abu
07:20 I see you here as well . Thunder . Glad
07:22 to see your name there and joe Hello and some
07:26 here Camillo joined us . Okay , Lena is helping
07:32 me out there and and stunning lad . A typical
07:36 workday is from 9-5 . Yes , so we can
07:39 whoops ! You're getting a sample , whoops , whoops
07:42 ! Oops , there we go . I can't ah
07:44 so you know what I have to do , I
07:45 have to do it this way guys . Actually I'm
07:48 not going to put the answers in here because then
07:50 I have to um exit the presentation and the slide
07:54 will shrink , but I'm going to let you guys
07:57 refer to the text chat for the correct answers .
08:00 Yes . So number one , a typical workday is
08:03 from 9 to 5 from 9 to 5 . There
08:06 you go . Number two , I love that book
08:09 on setting and reaching goals . I read it .
08:13 In fact , I read some parts more than once
08:18 . I read some parts more than once who wrote
08:21 the answer from beginning to end , yes , from
08:25 beginning to end , right from the beginning , from
08:28 the first page to the last page . From beginning
08:31 to end three , I go jogging . But usually
08:35 I exercise in my home who wrote the answer lena
08:40 suggesting from time to time , I agree lena from
08:43 time to time , meaning sometimes occasionally from time to
08:48 time I go jogging but I usually exercise in my
08:51 home And number four now isn't the time to travel
08:55 and gathering groups , I plan to stay home .
08:58 This task was in 2020 , so 2021 hopefully will
09:03 be a bit different , but let's see who's suggesting
09:06 the answer Lena stunning lad , Who else ? Yes
09:14 , number four until the end of the year ,
09:16 until the end of the year , Yvonne , I'm
09:20 glad you're confirming that you can join at Patreon .
09:22 Super glad to know that . Okay , so sample
09:26 task and what's great about this is it's two times
09:29 a week . The tasks are short . If you
09:31 have time to watch the video , great . If
09:33 you don't then just do the task once people post
09:36 answers , I confirm , I correct if there's a
09:39 bonus task then I also correct those . So you
09:42 get a little bit of practice twice a week ,
09:44 Those of you who are very busy . This is
09:46 a nice way to fit even 5 , 10 minutes
09:49 of study on a monday , on a Wednesday or
09:51 catch up by the end of the week . But
09:53 if you keep up with the tasks , you keep
09:55 up with your studies , um I'll see as I
09:58 go on , I'll challenge somebody to give me an
10:00 example , create your own example with the word till
10:04 remembering that this is just another way to say until
10:08 right . I'll see if someone wants to share an
10:12 example there . Let me give you another example of
10:15 a short but valuable task in this one , I
10:19 asked students to think about the order of adjectives .
10:23 Again , I will confirm correct answers if you post
10:27 them in the chat . All right . I do
10:30 have a video on the order of adjectives . If
10:33 you watch you can review right now you can rely
10:36 on your judgment . Hopefully you have good instincts and
10:39 you can work together as a group . What do
10:42 we say ? Because I live in a cold climate
10:45 . I always hope for a white , beautiful christmas
10:49 , beautiful white christmas . What's the correct order ?
10:57 What goes first ? Who can help ? Yes .
11:05 Mhm . Waiting to See Who's Gonna Post 1st .
11:14 Mhm Yes , you could tell this was from christmas
11:23 Oh liliana wrote I wait to travel till the pandemic
11:26 goes . I'd say the pandemic is over liliana .
11:29 Um I have to , I can't travel till the
11:34 pandemic is over liliana . I'd say I can't travel
11:38 till the pandemic is over . That's what I would
11:45 say . Robbie is suggesting a beautiful white christmas .
11:48 Yes , Lillian is confirming that Robbie is correct .
11:52 Um Cash ob , thunder . I'll switch it around
11:54 . Thunder because look what Robbie saying . Beautiful white
11:58 opinion comes first Ronnie , same thing , Pay attention
12:03 . Beautiful is an opinion adjective so Rudy has it
12:07 correct . A beautiful white christmas . Lena posted an
12:11 example , I would say I am continue , I'd
12:14 say either lena , I am working at home till
12:18 the end of March or I will continue to work
12:21 at home till the end of March , Fernando what
12:26 we're doing in this new task is ordering the adjectives
12:30 . We can't just stick them any which way there's
12:33 an order that we usually agree to . Sometimes we
12:37 break the rules , but generally we all agree that
12:39 certain adjectives go 1st , 2nd , 3rd etcetera .
12:43 So opinion adjectives like beautiful , good , bad ,
12:48 they go first . White is a color , so
12:51 a beautiful white christmas , it's like a christmas with
12:54 snow . I always hope for a beautiful white christmas
12:59 hiking lover , beautiful white christmas lina . Thanks for
13:03 confirming . Okay , all right , number two ,
13:06 some think of santa claus as what kind of man
13:11 ? So search . We just learned that opinion goes
13:14 first . Which of these adjectives is an opinion or
13:19 that's how it seems to us . These qualities that
13:26 are based on our judgment . Mhm . After that
13:34 you have to decide about the age and the nationality
13:40 . Nationalities , ethnicity , origin . Those are similar
13:44 . So what's your suggestion ? Ronnie suggests , jolly
13:48 Scandinavian . Old , let's see who agrees . Nana
13:52 says old jolly Scandinavian . Thunder agrees with that .
14:01 Ronnie switched it around , jolly Scandinavian old Oh ,
14:08 okay . One thing that I definitely feel firm about
14:14 certain about is Scandinavian . Um , that's going to
14:17 go at the end . A Scandinavian man . An
14:20 old Scandinavian man . A jolly old Scandinavian man personally
14:25 , I would say , I think of him as
14:27 a jolly old Scandinavian man , opinion . Age nationality
14:34 . Okay Scandinavian definitely has to go last out of
14:38 these three . I don't think it's necessarily wrong to
14:41 say oh he's an old jolly Scandinavian man . If
14:43 you flipped it around in casual conversation . No big
14:47 deal in my opinion . Um But it would sound
14:50 a little odd to put Scandinavian first . Okay so
14:54 personally I would recommend putting jolly old Scandinavian in that
14:59 order . Yes , stunning lad . I agree with
15:01 that . Oh I'm sorry section um So guys help
15:11 satun and I'm going to rely on you to post
15:14 um the answers so satun can actually read um what
15:19 the answers are . Okay so what's happening here is
15:24 we're ordering the adjectives . Let's tell satch in the
15:27 correct answer . What I'm recommending is jolly old ,
15:30 Scandinavian man , jolly is happy , happy , full
15:34 of joy . Yes . Okay and also the more
15:39 typing you do , It's good practice for you .
15:41 But you're also supporting a classmate , classmate . Okay
15:44 , satun babu needs some help . And the more
15:47 texts that you can write to support a fellow learner
15:50 , the better . Okay . Number three . Traditionally
15:54 santa wears a red for bright suit . A little
15:58 odd . So what do you think goes first ?
16:04 What goes last ? I'll give you a hint .
16:08 I would put material last . Let's see who comes
16:19 up with a suggestion here . I'm telling you to
16:23 put the material last . Which which one is material
16:29 and think should be red . Bright , bright red
16:34 louis . Angel is suggesting bright red fur suit .
16:38 Nana agrees . Think about it . Red , bright
16:44 . Is it bright for or bright red . Thunder
16:48 . Doesn't make a little bit more sense to talk
16:50 about the colour being bright , bright red for Yes
16:56 , I would agree . Fragment for eager . That's
16:59 a very interesting way to write it just with the
17:01 first letters . I agree . Bright red for bright
17:06 red for A bright red fur suit . So we
17:09 have bright red material goes last before suit . Very
17:14 good guys . No four . I baked some .
17:19 Do we say bell shaped tasty cookies or tasty bell
17:23 shaped cookies ? Remember what we've learned about beautiful and
17:29 jolly ? The same pattern holds here in # four
17:35 . I need a Yes . Bright red firs ,
17:37 correct . Yvonne Uh huh . You got it like
17:42 a high there . Number four guys . Which order
17:47 do you think sounds better from ho and non are
17:53 suggesting tasty bell shaped Anita agrees . Thunder too .
17:59 Yes , tasty bell shaped Ronnie and stunning lad .
18:08 All agree because tasty is an opinion . Maybe I
18:10 think they're good , maybe you don't . And their
18:13 bell shaped . This is a compound modifier , generally
18:17 goes toward the end . Especially now we have opinion
18:21 opinion will go first . I baked some tasty bell
18:24 shaped cookies Number five on Christmas Eve , hopeful Children
18:29 watch the Mhm night , frosty sky , frosty night
18:36 sky . What should go first ? Some of you
18:41 might know the answer right away . You could also
18:44 post the explanation why Why does one go first and
18:49 the other go 2nd Emily . Yes . Tasty bill
18:55 shape . Don't forget that hyphen though because it's a
18:57 compound modifier bell shaped with a D . At the
19:01 end and hyphenate bell shaped nana suggesting frosty night sky
19:06 Camillo agrees and angel as well . Mhm . Karakoram
19:14 times . Hello ? Okay . Everyone agreed that tasty
19:19 bell shaped cookies works . Frosty night Chitiva agrees .
19:28 Frosty night sky says Robbie opinion goes first , right
19:32 ? Thunder . But more important here is the word
19:36 night . Think about it . Um Often liliana .
19:42 The reason why I want you to switch it around
19:44 nana too is because of night itself . Could be
19:48 a noun , right ? But here we're using it
19:51 as a modifier . The night sky sometimes now owns
19:55 can turn into modifiers which are like adjectives not just
19:59 any sky , the night sky . And now modifiers
20:03 generally stick close to the now that they're modifying ,
20:07 right ? So like a school day , a workday
20:10 . Those are compound words actually . But the idea
20:13 is that if you have a noun describing another noun
20:16 then that goes close um to the head . Now
20:20 the one that it's modifying . So I'd say hopeful
20:23 . Children watch the frosty night sky . Frosty means
20:27 cold . The frosty night sky . Nana lina .
20:32 Yes . Hi harsh . Did that for some people
20:36 . It's simple . But you know what ? Everyone
20:38 makes mistakes now and then . Which is sometimes we're
20:41 not paying attention and our mistakes come out . The
20:44 nice thing about writing is that you can often see
20:47 it and catch it and then fix it . Okay
20:50 . Yes . A photo Anita . You got it
20:54 ? Mhm S P P Q . Oh you took
20:57 it away but it was right , okay . Alright
21:00 . Six guys , some ladies might get a oh
21:05 goodness you know what ? I do have to exit
21:08 . I'm going to exit for a second because I
21:11 don't like they just caught a mistake . Let's fix
21:15 that ring . There we go . Some ladies might
21:21 get a ring for Christmas . I wrote Diamond two
21:25 times . Some ladies might get a ring for christmas
21:31 . What kind of ring ? Remember what we learned
21:36 about for ? And the placement of for It's also
21:41 could be a noun , right ? Same like night
21:44 , same as night . Then you'll have to think
21:47 about size and shape a round ring . Right ?
21:53 But now we have to stick in some other adjectives
21:56 . Yes , we fixed the type of thanks guys
21:59 . Two more . Hello , Salma High . A
22:03 big diamond . Big round , big round diamond ring
22:09 . Yes , Yes . Hi Leila did Dad also
22:13 suggests big round diamond ring . A big diamond ring
22:17 , but let's stick in round nana . A big
22:20 round diamond ring . Strong Camillo agrees . Big round
22:27 says liliana as well . Big round diamond I .
22:30 D . Signed for you . Big round diamond says
22:34 Rudy . Yeah . Stick ring at the end because
22:38 that's the head noun . Even write big round diamond
22:42 ring . What kind of ring a diamond ring ?
22:45 So , diamond here , another noun um acting as
22:49 a noun modifier . And so we have um what
22:51 kind of ring ? A diamond ring ? A gold
22:53 ring , A silver ring . It can also say
22:55 material . So it depends how you look at it
22:58 . But diamond goes last . It's a diamond ring
23:01 . A big round diamond ring . I agree with
23:04 that . Um er Hello to you , yvonne ,
23:08 kristen , yep , mhm You could Hello , All
23:13 right guys , so some ladies might get a big
23:15 round diamond ring seven , I'm happy getting candies .
23:21 What kind of candies ? Oh , this is your
23:23 big challenge . Now we don't often have this many
23:26 adjectives . Normally we have two , maybe three ,
23:29 but there is an order . If you truly wanted
23:32 to write this many adjectives to describe candies , you
23:35 could . So let's think Mhm Right , what goes
23:41 first ? Is there any opinion adjective ? Think about
23:46 size and I'm waiting to see who's going to suggest
23:55 the order from ho yummy little square chocolate candies .
23:59 Let's see if everyone agrees with from ho nana ,
24:03 Yes , agrees ah yummy as an opinion , thon
24:08 darcy want to flip that around yummy little square ,
24:10 says Emily agrees , yummy candies , definitely yummy little
24:15 square yummy little square , pretty much everyone agrees ,
24:18 yummy little square yummy even get put yummy first because
24:25 yummy means tasty , delicious , so that definitely has
24:29 to go first . Did that same thing , yummy
24:32 goes first because that's opinion . Yeah , stunning .
24:36 Glad they're pretty good here . Huh ? Everyone's helping
24:38 each other yummy little square chocolate candies . Chocolate is
24:43 material square is shape sp PQ flip yummy and little
24:51 around because yummy is an opinion s lately . Hello
24:56 ? All right guys , So it seems like the
24:57 majority of you agree , yummy little Square often is
25:02 the latest one to post the correct order , but
25:04 we need to stick in chocolate yummy little square chocolate
25:08 candies . So some of these tasks might take you
25:13 some time . I usually post anywhere from 35 Sometimes
25:16 I do get ambitious and post exercises with as many
25:20 as eight or 10 items . But the idea is
25:22 that most of these tasks should take you five minutes
25:25 , maybe 10 . If you watch the video to
25:27 review then you'll have more study time in your day
25:31 . But if you're very busy you simply do the
25:33 task two times a week on the community tab for
25:36 a dollar a month . Guys , that's about eight
25:38 tasks or more a month for $1 . So I'm
25:42 trying to do the best I can to keep up
25:44 your studies just because we do one video and then
25:47 it becomes an old video does not mean that we
25:50 cannot review the content and then also um expand .
25:56 Um and also challenge you with new examples beyond what
26:00 I've given in the video . So um often that
26:04 can be grammar vocabulary writing . Occasionally I will post
26:08 something like this an open writing task and I might
26:12 post of um a photo and ask people to come
26:17 up with ideas and invite you to share them .
26:19 All right ? Um Not everyone takes me up on
26:22 this offer , but if you do post I correct
26:26 . So if you'd like a little bit of writing
26:28 , um then this is another way to get that
26:31 little bit of writing practice in the course of a
26:33 month . I usually do at least one of these
26:35 once a month and actually I'll give you the opportunity
26:38 right now . If you'd like to look at that
26:42 photo , I know that some people have already written
26:46 about it , but you're welcome to write again ,
26:48 stunning lad out there . Okay . And actually I'll
26:55 share an excerpt from your submission in just a moment
27:01 . This is an exercise . You can do it
27:03 any time I like to get my photos from picks
27:06 obey , picks obey dot com . Um There um
27:11 shareable . So you could use them um for your
27:15 own use or share them in a chat and it's
27:18 fun just to see a photo and describe it as
27:21 best you can use the language you have . Remember
27:24 how we form sentences . Remember punctuation Praveen suggests it's
27:31 a sunshine day . How about um the day is
27:34 full of sunshine , the day is full of sunshine
27:39 or it's a sunny day . That's what I might
27:43 say I designed for you . Yes , I do
27:48 get it . It's a clever name . So lips
27:54 goodness . I was trying to type in the text
27:56 chat and it's not allowing me to , let's see
27:59 it's a it's a sunny day or you could say
28:05 it's a day full of sunshine . There we go
28:10 . How about that one ? Stunning . Glad I
28:14 took some of yours . You'll see it in just
28:17 a moment . A beautiful hazel atmosphere in four seems
28:22 breathtaking view from me . Oh , those are some
28:25 beautiful descriptions . Often . Let's see what we can
28:28 suggest . A beautiful hazel atmosphere in the first birthday
28:33 , a beautiful hazel atmosphere in the forest creates a
28:48 breath taking view . How about this ? A beautiful
28:52 hazel atmosphere in the forest creates a breathtaking view .
28:58 Okay , there are two . I thought about just
29:02 dear to deer in the woods . Perhaps in the
29:05 evening when the day is finished ? Yes , There
29:08 are two deer in the woods , says Yvonne .
29:13 Um perhaps this is the evening at the end of
29:22 a day , at the end of the day .
29:25 Perhaps this is the evening at the end of the
29:28 day . Uh It's a cloudy day . Nana says
29:33 it's a day full of sunshine , a day full
29:35 of wonder . Some wild animals are searching , let's
29:40 add in Arlena . Some wild animals are searching for
29:44 food in a dark winter in the , in a
29:46 dark winter that works high marcello Sunset in the forest
29:53 with two . Oh I guess . Are they deer
29:55 moose ? I thought they were do I see actually
29:58 it looks like a deer and perhaps a bear .
30:04 A sunset in a forest with two moose . Um
30:08 to moose walk as the sun sets over the forest
30:18 . How about that ? Two moves walk . I
30:24 can see two animals in this picture . A deer
30:28 . I don't know about a pig boar . I
30:30 was thinking more like a baby bear . Like a
30:32 cub . It does seem like a magic forest ,
30:36 doesn't it Christine ? You say ? I can see
30:39 two animals . I can see two animals . You
30:43 can separate that with a comma uh dear , a
30:48 deer dear and per and since we're not sure we
30:55 can say maybe or perhaps and perhaps a pig .
30:58 Although that would be very strange in a forest during
31:02 a pig uh in this magical forest , it looks
31:07 magical , something like that . Yes , it does
31:10 seem like um there's a fog in the forest .
31:12 Lots of examples being posted , the pictures that there's
31:15 some animals . I see a picture of some animals
31:19 and trees . Um because a fit and boy you
31:22 could say um in this picture there are some animals
31:26 and trees . Uh sackatoga Regina . Hello ? Uh
31:32 huh . I was able to get a glimpse ,
31:35 put an s there toya , I was able to
31:38 get a glimpse of two beautiful deer walking through the
31:42 forest . Or you got a glimpse of them through
31:44 the trees . You could say Praveen suggests it's a
31:49 sunny day , much spectacular , more spectacular than I've
31:54 ever seen . It's a sunny day , more spectacular
31:59 than I've ever seen . Mhm . In this view
32:03 we see trees with branches and two animals , so
32:08 proving good ideas , I could make it more concise
32:10 . It's a sunny day and it's more spectacular than
32:15 I've ever seen . We see trees with branches and
32:20 two animals . Yes . Good . Hi momon .
32:25 Oh , stags . Maybe they are stags in the
32:28 forest at sunset . You don't have to say at
32:30 the time of sunset , simply at sunset a couple
32:36 of reindeer reindeer can be without the S . It's
32:38 an irregular plural . A couple of reindeer between the
32:42 trees when the day is over at such a foggy
32:45 , mysterious night . Good adjectives , Camillo . I'd
32:48 say there are a couple of reindeer walking between the
32:52 trees or through the trees as the day is ending
32:57 as the day is ending . It's such a foggy
33:01 and mysterious night period . Okay , nausea . Hi
33:07 ravi Nagy rights to animals are roaming in the beautiful
33:11 woods in search of food , nice to , animals
33:14 are roaming in the beautiful woods in search of food
33:17 , good sentence , good punctuation . Not that it
33:21 could be a bore . I design it could be
33:23 a bore that if perhaps my first thought was a
33:26 bear cub . Yes , A von maybe they're related
33:31 . Who knows ? Jamal . Hi there to dear
33:36 dear . Doesn't need an ass . It's an irregular
33:38 Now on record . Um The forest has many tall
33:41 trees now . What is that ? Barry saga ?
33:43 I don't know what that is , but the forest
33:46 has many tall trees . That's true foggy . Is
33:50 that missed ? That missed . It's not clear .
33:54 I'm sorry . I'm looking off to the side .
33:55 I can see the comments better on my laptop .
33:59 Thunder wrote , the day is full of sunshine .
34:02 There are two deer in the woods . Perhaps this
34:04 is the evening at the end of the day .
34:06 Very nicely punctuated too . It seems a mysterious place
34:13 where witches used to live . A fun . That's
34:16 what I'd say . It seems like a mysterious place
34:19 where witches used to live . I'll say that again
34:23 . It seems like a mysterious place where witches used
34:26 to live . A foggy forest is waiting for spring
34:31 . I'd stick on is Lena a foggy forest is
34:34 waiting for spring . Very good , very good .
34:39 Thunder and and stunning . Glad , glad you're helping
34:43 not to . You wrote to animals are roaming in
34:45 the beautiful and foggy woods . They are in search
34:48 of dinner and are preparing for the night , right
34:52 ? And are preparing for the night . You think
34:56 of vampires goodness ? So yes , when I do
34:58 a task like this , I do take the time
35:00 to write because you're writing . I write back and
35:03 I correct . So I'm just one or two sentences
35:05 . You get to see what other people post as
35:07 well , if there are new words , you look
35:09 them up and you learn from other people's posts .
35:12 So again , these are just some of the tasks
35:14 that I share twice a week on the community tab
35:18 $1 month . Guys , basic membership gives you quite
35:20 a lot if you can see the join button ,
35:23 that's what I'd love you to um click , this
35:26 is just an example . Um stunning lad did share
35:29 um quite a lot and I suggested um some changes
35:35 . He probably typed really fast and that accounts for
35:38 some of the errors because otherwise he's a very good
35:41 writer , whether it be winter , summer night or
35:44 day , we will always see deer in the countryside
35:47 . How hardy and self sufficient these deer are .
35:50 They are intelligent and resourceful creatures and overcome all the
35:54 challenges that mother nature gives . Right . Very good
35:57 ideas here . Good vocabulary , generally good sentence structure
36:01 . My suggestions are um to add an exclamation point
36:05 because you're praising them like oh how nice , how
36:08 good , how hardy and self sufficient they are .
36:11 I would punctuate that with an exclamation point . And
36:14 I also suggest turning the second part into a full
36:17 clause because here were saying they're intelligent , resourceful creatures
36:22 and now we have this new idea with a new
36:24 verb overcome and they overcome all the challenges that mother
36:29 nature gives ending with a period and mother nature is
36:32 generally capitalized , we give her that respect . Okay
36:37 , so again , just examples of what you can
36:40 do and what you can learn um just through a
36:42 short task like that . Yasmin two different animals in
36:46 a wonderful forest . If you want to turn that
36:48 into a full sentence , you need a verb jasmine
36:51 . There are two different animals in a wonderful forest
36:55 eager . Actually we don't know if they're deer reindeer
36:57 . We're all debating if there elk moose Praveen both
37:03 of the animals you don't need to say to because
37:05 both already means to both . Animals wake up early
37:09 in the morning , harsh wrote to animals are in
37:13 search of food you don't need . The two animals
37:16 are in search of food within the mist . Now
37:22 missed . Does missed have an aroma that would be
37:25 interesting to consider . I usually don't associate missed with
37:29 some kind of smell . So I might simply suggest
37:32 that to animals are in search of food within the
37:36 midst within the mist . Very nice words . It
37:40 does look like mist . Okay , stunning . Glad
37:44 you might have made those mistakes on purpose . Right
37:46 to test me . Wonderful Maria , Glad you're here
37:51 . All right . So those are just some of
37:52 the tasks they're writing grammar vocabulary . Um , sometimes
37:56 I do manage , although we're limited to text ,
37:59 I do manage to work in some type of pronunciation
38:02 task may be quizzing you about words , dress or
38:05 intonation , but let me also remind you that there
38:09 is a new perk that I added very recently .
38:12 Um , and it is a new way of learning
38:15 and using conversational expressions in your daily communication . I
38:19 partnered with emoji . Um , and they have a
38:22 really cool approach to , um , uh , sort
38:25 of just stickers beyond stickers . There are animated GIFs
38:30 audio gifts so we can take an image which we
38:34 had with the help of an artist , add text
38:36 and add my voice . And you've got a really
38:38 nice custom made audio gIF . You can use these
38:42 in your text chats and again , you're hearing my
38:44 voice , my pronunciation , my model . So you'll
38:48 become familiar with expressions like , sorry , my dad
38:51 and talk to you later . So , um ,
38:53 all you have to do is download emoji . Um
38:55 , there's a youtube tab , you'll see me listed
38:58 as jennifer DSL and then you could use my gifts
39:01 . Okay . There is currently one free gift for
39:04 everyone members and nonmembers alike , but there are some
39:08 bonus gifts for Youtube members and I am working on
39:11 new gifts for february . Um so again , I'll
39:15 do my best to keep adding the more people um
39:18 the more people download them , the more I can
39:20 create . Okay , so I hope we can build
39:23 a nice collection and learn expressions in this fun way
39:28 . Um as I mentioned , there's also access to
39:31 live streams from 2018 2019 . There are 27 of
39:35 them , they're all about 30 minutes , some extend
39:39 to about an hour , so you're getting at least
39:42 13 hours of recorded live streams . So even if
39:45 you choose to be a member just for a few
39:47 months , um there's quite a lot to access ,
39:50 but remember the thing that I'm always adding um is
39:54 new language tasks twice a week , I offer the
39:56 language tasks on the community tab . Okay , so
40:01 let's talk about the exciting news right now , which
40:04 is um , the Patreon memberships , so basic memberships
40:09 will remain Here on YouTube $99 $1 a month and
40:14 you get the gifts access to that um , playlist
40:19 of recorded live streams and then the language tasks ,
40:23 super and truly marvelous memberships are moving now to patreon
40:27 . Um , couple of you have already moved ,
40:29 thank you very much . And the reason why I'm
40:32 doing this is because it does make me sad when
40:35 people say , but jennifer , I don't see the
40:37 joint button on Youtube , I can't be a member
40:39 on Youtube and it makes me sad because I do
40:42 want to offer you opportunities beyond those videos as well
40:46 . So Patreon has become a possibility to do that
40:50 so I can deliver some of the old perks and
40:52 also add some new ones through Patreon . So the
40:56 key reason for moving the top two tiers is accessibility
41:01 . I want to make this more accessible to more
41:03 people . So um , that's a key reason why
41:07 I'd like to switch over to Patreon and what it
41:10 means for people who are currently members is that there
41:13 are two things that you can do . You could
41:15 cancel membership and then just move over yourself . But
41:18 if you wait , what's going to happen is I
41:21 will cancel the top two tiers within the next couple
41:25 of days or so Very soon . It's going to
41:27 be within a week . Um , truly marvelous members
41:30 . It will be within 24 hours . Super members
41:32 , it will be within the next few days .
41:35 Youtube has explained to me that once I cancel these
41:38 levels , you should get a refund for the last
41:41 month . That will then make it easier to sign
41:44 up on Patreon . The other reason why that's good
41:47 is because on patreon you get charged right away .
41:51 So let's say you move over to patreon right now
41:54 , January 15 or 16th , you will pay for
41:57 the month of January and then you have to pay
42:00 the first of every month . So this first Um
42:04 30 days , it's going to seem like you're being
42:06 charged twice , but it just means you get charged
42:09 at sign up , then charged on the first of
42:11 the month . Um There's always new content , so
42:14 even if you were to sign up on january ,
42:16 28th or 29th , you're paying for the january content
42:20 and then on february 1st you get the february content
42:23 . So again , my suggestion would be wait for
42:26 me to cancel These memberships on YouTube , the top
42:29 two tiers , um you should get refunded um the
42:32 past month and when you move over to patreon you'll
42:36 sign up for January and then you'll get charged on
42:38 one February . Okay ? If you wait till february
42:42 you can , it just means that you won't see
42:44 the january content and the january content includes live streams
42:49 . Okay so super Members for $10 a month ,
42:52 you're getting a bonus video , I will consider members
42:55 requests and suggestions for video topics and to live streams
43:00 a month . I'm going to try out zoom and
43:03 Youtube . Youtube will be exclusive live streams . They
43:06 will be um a link only for members . They
43:09 will not be public . Okay , so Super Members
43:13 , I'll start with two live streams a month where
43:15 we can have live Q . And a writing tasks
43:18 , group editing , pronunciation drills , dictations , vocabulary
43:23 practice and more . I will take requests , I'll
43:26 take your questions . So what we cover in the
43:29 live streams will be decided by you . Um the
43:32 more people I have signing up , the easier it
43:35 will be for me to consider adding more perks ,
43:39 meaning more bonus videos and or more live streams .
43:43 So we're starting with two live streams a month as
43:46 I grow this program , if you can help me
43:49 grow the super memberships , we can consider increasing live
43:53 streams . Okay , let me check out Thunder ,
43:58 I know that's what makes me sad about Youtube memberships
44:01 and that's why I'm offering Patreon . So I hope
44:04 um if you go over to Patreon you should see
44:07 um the join button there and it should be a
44:10 program that is accessible to you now . Youtube has
44:14 been wonderful , but it's limited and I really would
44:16 love to see um the membership program grow . But
44:20 unfortunately if it's not available in your country , I
44:23 can't grow it there . So Patreon um allows for
44:27 more sign ups because it's available in more countries .
44:30 Okay ? Yes Ronnie , you're a member of Patreon
44:35 . Yes . And so watch what you can do
44:38 . Even if you're a super member on Patreon ,
44:41 you can still be a basic member on Youtube if
44:44 you want to get um for example the emojis ,
44:46 if you want those language tasks twice a week ,
44:49 you can still sign up for a dollar and let
44:51 me go back and say That everyone current and new
44:56 . If you sign up on Patreon , you do
44:58 have the option to make a yearly payment . And
45:01 if you do that you get 10 off which is
45:03 like getting a month for free . So there are
45:06 different options . You can pay by month , you
45:08 can pay by year paying for a year gives you
45:11 a 10 discount . That's another nice thing that Patreon
45:14 offers and Youtube doesn't . Okay , is it possible
45:19 to a bank transfer ? Um So I don't ,
45:22 there are different payment options . That's another reason why
45:25 I chose Patreon is because there are different payment options
45:28 . Um So hopefully once you get you click on
45:31 joint and and see what your options are , hopefully
45:35 there will be an option that is convenient for you
45:38 . Okay , truly marvelous members . Um this membership
45:42 starts at 30 a month and actually need to check
45:44 because when I looked this morning it looks like this
45:46 level actually sold out already , wow , I'm excited
45:50 . Um Again , I will see month by month
45:53 . If I hit a certain goal , I will
45:55 consider whether or not I can open up more positions
45:59 more spaces at that level . This level , it's
46:02 harder for me to expand because it involves a one
46:06 on one video call . I don't think I'm ever
46:09 going to have 100 people at this level because that's
46:11 100 Individual video calls and that's a lot for me
46:14 to handle . So this level is always going to
46:17 be limited . So if you're interested um you could
46:20 always um message me which you can do through patreon
46:24 by the way . You could start at a $10
46:26 membership and indicate your interest if I see um that
46:30 it's possible for me to open up more spaces .
46:32 I will And then you can always upgrade . So
46:35 truly marvelous members also get the live streams , also
46:39 get the bonus videos , but you get your monthly
46:41 call for 20 minutes , one on one . I
46:43 can arrange that on skype or zoom , whichever you
46:46 prefer . Most people these days prefer . Zoom .
46:49 Okay , how can you enroll in Patreon ? I'll
46:52 show you . Let me do a quick exit here
46:55 and see if I can go over here . Okay
46:59 , here's my channel . Let's see if you can
47:01 see what I see . So thank you Ronnie .
47:08 Yes , you are one of my first sign ups
47:13 . Thank you Ronnie for being a super member .
47:17 Okay , so do you see my channel guys ?
47:23 Uh huh . My throat is getting dry . I
47:25 certainly hope I don't start coughing but if I do
47:27 forgive me in advance , Okay , do you see
47:34 what I see ? That's the Patreon button . If
47:40 you click on this , it'll take you over to
47:42 Patreon and this is the page that you'll see .
47:45 Um It's english with jennifer . Patreon dot com slash
47:49 english with jennifer . But again , if you click
47:51 the Patreon button you should come over here um and
47:54 there are three levels , I actually found , some
47:56 people do want to simply support me . Um ,
47:58 they don't necessarily want to get any perks . Um
48:02 , this could be teachers , et cetera . Um
48:04 , so there is the option for people who simply
48:07 want to support , um and not necessarily get additional
48:10 language study . So there is a level for kind
48:13 hearted patrons and I would be very appreciative of that
48:17 kind of support , but most of you are probably
48:20 looking to get something out of this program . Right
48:23 ? So , um , just open , this is
48:26 the official launch day , I'm starting with only 30
48:29 and see once I get there , I will determine
48:32 whether or not I can handle more people because then
48:35 at that point I'd probably like to increase more live
48:38 streams , increase the live streams , so you'll click
48:40 to join or you can save 10 if you pay
48:43 annually . Okay so that's how you come come to
48:48 my Youtube channel , click on Patreon , you'll come
48:50 to this page and you should be able to click
48:53 on the joint button . Okay ? Um I haven't
48:58 refreshed this , so this is from this morning ,
49:00 I'm not sure actually . Let's see what happens .
49:04 What happens if I refresh , it might not be
49:09 updating , but um there are some , I'll check
49:12 my account afterwards and um there's some there's a process
49:15 because I'm new on Patreon where um somebody might sign
49:18 up and it holds their account for a few hours
49:21 and then I see that they've signed up so it
49:24 just might take some time for me to see you
49:27 um in my list of members on Patreon . Okay
49:31 let's go back to this . Oops , I didn't
49:35 mean to do that , oops , oops , oops
49:38 , going back over here from current slide , okay
49:44 whether you are a member or not , I still
49:46 want to give you something today to walk away with
49:49 and this is the final example activity of what I
49:53 might do during a live stream . Um when I
49:55 do dictations , I tend to do gapped dictations which
49:59 means certain words or word parts are missing and what's
50:03 really nice about a dictation during a live stream is
50:06 first I test you're listening to see if you can
50:09 catch um the missing words um and then especially if
50:13 it's a dialogue , a conversation um I can record
50:17 both roles and you could use the recording later for
50:21 pronunciation . Practice speaking practice . Once we have the
50:25 completed text , you can use the completed text And
50:30 use that for oral reading in this case for pronunciation
50:34 . This is not a conversation , this is simply
50:36 a text . Um this is from June 2018 and
50:40 we are focusing on word parts specifically prefixes . Okay
50:47 Angel thank you for being with me all this time
50:50 . Okay so what are we gonna do right now
50:53 I'll give you a sample of what a dictation feels
50:56 like . All right . So the first time I
50:59 usually read fast and I would suggest um getting pen
51:05 and paper and writing what you hear or if you
51:07 think you can type fast you can type in the
51:09 text chat . The first time I will read at
51:12 a normal speed it will be very fast . The
51:15 second time I will slow down and I will confirm
51:18 answers the third time I'll show you the completed text
51:22 and then um you'll have the completed text and my
51:26 recording for practice . Okay ? You think you guys
51:30 are ready ? Mhm . Okay . Here we go
51:36 ready get your pen paper . I'm going to go
51:38 fast . I had the most unpleasant experience at the
51:42 doctor's office recently . The receptionist was impolite . Some
51:46 other people in the waiting room were impatient and it
51:49 didn't help that reading materials were unavailable . Usually you
51:53 find magazines in the waiting room . To make matters
51:56 worse the internet was inaccessible . I wanted to scream
52:00 out of frustration but I knew that kind of behavior
52:02 was unacceptable . The doctor told me that long waits
52:06 were unavoidable but I think the offices run inefficiently .
52:10 I was completely dissatisfied with the service . They created
52:13 more than an inconvenience . I experienced total disappointment because
52:18 in the end the doctor was incapable of helping me
52:22 . Uh huh . That was fast . Yeah .
52:26 Okay I'm gonna exit and then we can type in
52:31 the missing words together . Oh wow look at you
52:36 guys go . And some of you know which prefixes
52:40 go here . The prefixes make a word the opposite
52:44 like happy unhappy un . Is the prefix that makes
52:48 happy . Just the opposite Happy unhappy . But there's
52:52 more than one prefix that does that job . U
52:55 . N . Is just one of them . So
52:57 I had the most lissy . Mhm . I had
53:04 the most unpleasant experience at the doctor's office recently .
53:11 The receptionist was in polite . Very good . Thunder
53:21 . You got it whips . Some of the other
53:26 people in the waiting room were impatient and it didn't
53:29 help that reading materials were unavailable . Some of the
53:34 other people in the waiting room were impatient . Reading
53:38 materials were unavailable . Mhm impatient . Another prefix like
53:50 impolite impatient reading materials were unavailable . Usually you find
53:58 magazines in a waiting room . To make matters worse
54:03 the internet was inaccessible . Inaccessible in . So instead
54:12 of U . N . Thunder . I . N
54:14 . Inaccessible . Let's see who else wrote this .
54:21 Mhm . Inaccessible . Inaccessible . I wanted to scream
54:31 out of frustration but I knew that kind of behavior
54:34 was unacceptable unacceptable . Yes . Thunder . You got
54:43 it . The doctor told me that long waits were
54:51 unavoidable but I think the offices run inefficiently . I'm
55:02 looking unavailable . Mayor T . Yes . Oh wait
55:05 wait . Yeah . Unavoidable , unavailable . Unavoidable .
55:12 Yeah . Unavoidable . There you go . And the
55:20 offices run how inefficiently . Yes . Bedoya . You
55:25 got it . Thunder . Yes . Uh huh .
55:33 I was completely dissatisfied with the service . I was
55:37 completely dissatisfied with the service . Yes lissy you got
55:46 it satisfied . There's more than one prefix you can
55:50 use here but it means you got something but you
55:53 weren't happy with it satisfied if you're unsatisfied it's more
55:59 so that you didn't get something . But if you
56:01 were given something and it wasn't what you expected and
56:05 it didn't meet your expectations . You can say you
56:07 were dissatisfied , completely dissatisfied with the service . Mhm
56:14 . They created more than an inconvenience . They created
56:18 more than an inconvenience inconvenience . They created more than
56:24 an inconvenience . Inconvenient is an adjective . Give me
56:29 the now lissy they created more than an inconvenience .
56:34 Yeah . Thank . There you go . Mhm .
56:41 In inconvenience . Uh huh . I experienced total disappointment
56:50 because the in the end the doctor was incapable of
56:54 helping me . I experienced total disappointment . Total disappointment
57:04 . Yes lizzie , dissatisfied , dissatisfied correctly la total
57:11 dizzy uh appointment . It's just this is for the
57:15 word part it's not that appointment becomes the opposite and
57:19 all these other ones you see you have pleasant polite
57:21 patient available . Um We can't just say appointment but
57:25 you can understand that dis actually is the same word
57:29 part in other adjectives . So although because in the
57:42 end the doctor was oops what happened here incapable of
57:47 helping me ? Unable yes unable would be work would
57:53 work there as well . But I was very dissatisfied
57:57 and I was feeling um strong strongly about this .
58:02 I was very angry . This is a made up
58:03 situation by the way the doctor was incapable of helping
58:08 me , meaning did not have any ability whatsoever to
58:13 help me incapable , incapable . Yes . Thunder and
58:23 capable . Okay . Good question merit . Remember dissatisfied
58:28 . Um if you mix them up , it's not
58:30 a huge deal in my opinion because I think a
58:33 lot of people we get confused with these words ,
58:35 but my understanding , dissatisfied is that you've got something
58:39 , it's not working , you're not happy with it
58:42 . So your expectations have not been met . You're
58:45 dissatisfied . Unsatisfied means there's like this need that you
58:49 have and no one ever fulfilled it . Um So
58:53 it's like um like if they never served you dinner
58:57 that you're left unsatisfied because nothing was ever given to
59:01 satisfy your hunger . If they actually gave you dinner
59:05 and it tasted awful , you would be dissatisfied with
59:08 the meal and dissatisfied with the service . But I
59:11 think people um are pretty lenient if you mix the
59:16 two up , but that's how I understand the difference
59:19 . Okay , why do we not use an article
59:23 ? Like a total disappointment ? Because disappointment can be
59:26 used as an abstract emotion ? Like happiness . How
59:31 do you experience happiness ? How do you experience disappointment
59:35 ? It's a non countdown when we think abstractly ,
59:37 it's just an emotion . Okay . I experienced total
59:42 disappointment . Like I was completely disappointed . I'm using
59:47 it abstractly as a non count now . Okay .
59:51 Yes . In that case murder would often say that
59:55 someone is never satisfied . Which is used never with
59:58 satisfied to emphasize the ongoing nature of that person .
60:03 Okay . All right . I will read it once
60:05 more and what I want you to do is to
60:07 listen and pay particular attention to how these prefixes change
60:11 the meaning of a word or um Really ? Um
60:15 that's the key meaning on em uh in diss this
60:20 is all about something negative . Not okay . I
60:25 had the most unpleasant experience at the doctor's office recently
60:29 . The receptionist was impolite . Some of the other
60:32 people in the waiting room were impatient and it didn't
60:35 help that reading materials were unavailable . Usually you find
60:39 magazines in a waiting room to make matters worse the
60:42 internet was inaccessible . I wanted to scream out of
60:46 frustration but I knew that kind of behavior was unacceptable
60:50 . The doctor told me that long waits were unavoidable
60:54 but I think the offices run inefficiently . I was
60:57 completely dissatisfied with the service they created more than an
61:01 inconvenience . I experienced total disappointment because in the end
61:06 the doctor was incapable of helping me . Okay .
61:13 Oh goodness , thank you , stunning , Glad you
61:17 . Super . That was very , very generous .
61:19 Thank you for the staff have been asking for the
61:21 return for quite some time . You're keen on participating
61:24 in another live editing session . Yes , I think
61:28 um other members of Patreon would also appreciate some live
61:32 editing . We can certainly work that in and thank
61:35 you for that generous form of support . I appreciate
61:37 that stunning lad . Okay , alright with stunning lads
61:41 , um generous support , it does make my time
61:44 um easier to give . Um I do need to
61:47 move on because I have a busy day and I
61:49 do have some lessons scheduled but let me show you
61:53 one thing more we can do with a completed text
61:56 pronunciation practice . I've been reading this at a fast
62:00 pace . The other thing we can do is turn
62:03 this text into something that you can read aloud .
62:06 This will be easier to do if I mark it
62:08 up and show you the thought groups . If you've
62:11 studied my playlist on intonation and rhythm , if you've
62:15 studied with me with oral reading , If you've even
62:19 looked at less than 20 of fast speech , you'll
62:21 know that when we speak . We speak in thought
62:25 groups . Long sentences are hard to say in one
62:28 breath . Long sentences are hard to say . In
62:32 one breath we break up our ideas into thought groups
62:36 . And so if you develop the instinct for how
62:40 we group our words , it will create better rhythm
62:43 in your speech . The more we practice marking up
62:46 a text together , the sharper those instincts will be
62:50 . So let me show you if I read slowly
62:52 how this text can be marked up . I had
62:55 the most I had the most unpleasant experience at the
62:59 doctor's office recently . I had the most unpleasant experience
63:04 at the doctor's office recently . The receptionist was in
63:08 polite . Some of the other people in the waiting
63:12 room were impatient . Some of the other people in
63:16 the waiting room were impatient . You could break things
63:18 up more , but you don't always have to .
63:20 Some of the other people in the waiting room were
63:23 impatient . There's different ways you could break it up
63:26 . It partly depends on your speed . Some of
63:29 the other people in the waiting room were impatient .
63:33 That's at a slow speed . Some of the other
63:35 people in the waiting room were impatient and it didn't
63:39 help that reading materials were unavailable . Usually you find
63:44 magazines in the waiting room . Usually you find magazines
63:49 in a waiting room . To make matters worse ,
63:52 the internet was inaccessible . I wanted to scream out
63:56 of frustration . If you're going slowly , you could
64:00 pause there . I wanted to scream out of frustration
64:05 faster . I wanted to scream out of frustration .
64:08 But I knew that kind of behavior was unacceptable .
64:13 The doctor told me that long waits were unavoidable .
64:17 But I think the office is run inefficiently against slowly
64:22 . I think the office is running efficiently faster .
64:27 I think the offices run inefficiently . I was completely
64:32 dissatisfied with the service they created more than an inconvenience
64:38 . I experienced total disappointment because in the end the
64:43 doctor was incapable of helping me . Whoops sorry ,
64:47 slower because in the end the doctor because in the
64:52 end the doctor was incapable of helping me a little
64:56 faster because in the end the doctor was incapable of
65:00 helping me . So you might have more thought groups
65:04 . If you go more slowly and speak more carefully
65:07 . And um it creates a different rhythm because you're
65:10 pausing a bit more , you're breaking a bit more
65:13 . But understanding where we can break um creates better
65:17 rhythm and generally that those brakes occur with grammatical units
65:23 . If you can break ideas into grammatical chunks .
65:27 Um Those are your thought groups usually like subject and
65:30 predicate um or prepositional phrases are by themselves . Okay
65:37 . Oh thank you again . Final reading . Now
65:41 that it's marked up and this can be a slower
65:44 reading . You have a faster one in this recording
65:46 and you can use this slower one . If it's
65:49 easier you can pause and listen and repeat . I
65:52 had the most unpleasant experience at the doctor's office recently
65:58 . The receptionist was in polite . Some other people
66:02 in the waiting room were impatient and it didn't help
66:06 that reading materials were unavailable . Usually you find magazines
66:12 in a waiting room . To make matters worse the
66:17 internet was inaccessible . I wanted to scream out of
66:21 frustration but I knew that kind of behavior was unacceptable
66:27 . The doctor told me that long waits were unavoidable
66:32 , but I think the offices run inefficiently . I
66:36 was completely dissatisfied with the service . They created more
66:41 than an inconvenience . I experienced total disappointment because in
66:47 the end the doctor was incapable of helping me .
66:53 Okay . All right . That gives you a taste
66:56 of things that we can do during a live stream
66:58 . We can do live editing , we can do
67:00 pronunciation . Um , We can do vocabulary practice with
67:05 word parts like prefixes . Um , the sky's the
67:08 limit . There's a good expression . The sky's the
67:10 limit . I will be using zoom and Youtube .
67:14 Youtube allows me to do longer live streams like this
67:16 . About an hour zoom initially is going to be
67:19 quite short , but I could bring students on camera
67:23 and we could have your questions answered in real time
67:26 that way . Okay . Um , so we'll talk
67:29 about how to format those live streams as we go
67:32 along , but I do have my first sign ups
67:35 already on Patreon , which means we are going to
67:37 have our livestream at least one livestream in january ,
67:41 we have half a month left , so you will
67:43 get at least one bonus video , there are already
67:45 four videos uploaded . I will be moving all previous
67:49 um , bonus videos from Youtube over to Patreon ,
67:53 there will be bonus videos for Patreon members and um
67:57 , I will be scheduling a live stream in the
67:59 near future for a new Patreon members . So remember
68:03 there are now two places that you can join me
68:07 , Youtube . Basic memberships , only a dollar a
68:10 month , but if it's not available , then please
68:12 go over to Patreon and see um , if there
68:15 is a level that is accessible and affordable for you
68:19 , I hope it will be , the more members
68:21 I have , the more I can deliver , I'd
68:23 love to grow the membership program and be a regular
68:26 part of your studies on a monthly basis . Okay
68:30 , so I thank you guys very , very much
68:32 . I'm going to um look at the comments and
68:35 see if I missed anything . Yeah , antonym is
68:41 opposite words . Yes , thank you for salon thunder
68:47 , thank you for being here . How do you
68:56 wish somebody in America ? I think there's a few
68:57 Russians here , Sarah , just boom , but their
69:01 , their Christmas is not on December 25 , that's
69:04 in January , it's january . Okay , and with
69:09 any holiday that's Krosnick . So you could say surprise
69:12 nick on , but this is english with jennifer ,
69:14 not Russian with jennifer , although I do like the
69:18 opportunity to speak Russian sometimes with people , but thank
69:21 you all for being here so much . I hope
69:24 that I will see more people signing up today and
69:27 over the weekend . I'd love to see the memberships
69:30 grow on Patreon and I look forward to scheduling and
69:33 having the first live stream . So thank you all
69:37 for being here . I also hope that um ,
69:40 even if you're on Patreon , remember you can sign
69:42 up on Youtube as well because you'll get access to
69:45 the old live streams , you'll get um , the
69:47 bonus gifts on emoji , um , good for android
69:50 and iphone and you're going to get those language tasks
69:53 twice a week . So if you really love getting
69:56 those language tasks twice a week to keep up your
69:58 studies , then consider basic memberships as well . But
70:02 I know it's sad that some people don't see that
70:04 join button here and that's the main reason why I
70:07 am moving the top two tiers to Patreon because I'd
70:10 love to see um membership be available to more people
70:15 um in different countries . And I hope that truly
70:17 will be possible with patrons help in this new year
70:21 . So thank you all for being here . Um
70:23 Stay safe , stay healthy , have a wonderful weekend
70:26 and happy studies Take care everybody .
