Attendees will participate and network at this gathering of Scratch Educators. In this session, organizers of the Boston Scratch Educator Meetups will help participants experience a mini ScratchEd Meetup: they will generate topics, form interest-based groups, engage in conversation, and share back out with the entire group. Depending on the participants in the room, potential learning outcomes may include: discovering relevant curriculum resources, debugging a challenging Scratch program or lesson, integration of Scratch into all content areas, and developing an ongoing community of Scratch Educators. We hope by engaging educators in this type of meaningful and participant-driven professional development experience, participants will be inspired to bring this type of learning experience to their own schools/districts to support not only the use of Scratch but other types of technology integration. Regardless if participants are brand new to Scratch or have been playing with it for years, all experience levels are welcome.The Boston ScratchEd Meetup Group is a free professional learning community based at the HarvardEd Portal in Allston, MA.
