The State Education Department has released the results of New York State Assessments for 2016 from Grades 3-8. The scores have released for both English language arts (ELA) and Math tests. There is an increase of 6.6%, i.e., from 31.3(2015) to 37.9(2016) points at the proficient level (Level 3 and Level 4) for ELA. For Math, there is an increase of 1%, i.e., 38.1(2015) to 39.1(2016) points from proficient level students.
