The most important influence on student academic success is the classroom teacher. This presentation will show how the idea of relationship building to increase teacher confidence and morale results in higher performance by introducing and explaining various strategies for creating an environment conducive to improving teacher satisfaction and performance. Like students, teachers come to the school with varying degrees of skill. First, participants will learn about the importance of support and the use of digital tools to increase buy-in. Next, attendees will be shown and participate in activities specifically designed to engage teachers in the process of reflection as they move toward more clearly defining how they can emerge as leaders in the school. Finally, the presenter will share manners in which leaders can empower individuals to rejuvenating themselves as successful educators and powerful contributors to a positive culture.
