Designed by expert educators, Guided Practice offers individualized Practice for each student and helps them learn critical Math and English language arts standards in an empathetic environment.

The EdTech Awards recognize people for outstanding contributions to transforming education through technology to enrich the lives of learners everywhere. Celebrating its 12th year, the US-based EdTech Awards program is the world’s largest recognition program for education technology, recognizing the biggest names in edtech.

“As events unfold on the world stage that seems to inch ever closer to a precipice unknown, we are reminded that the leaders and innovators of education technology, like Lumos Learning, have always worked on the edge,” said Victor Rivero, who, as Editor-in-Chief of EdTech Digest, oversees the program.

As a finalist, Guided Practice and the other finalists and winners were narrowed from the larger field and judged based on various criteria, including pedagogical workability, efficacy, results, support, clarity, value, and potential.

“We’re pleased to see Guided Practice being recognized for helping educators and parents provide self-paced individualized practice for each student,” said Mukunda Krishnaswamy, CTO and Founder of Lumos Learning. “And we’re inspired to work even harder to support educators and parents help their students and children with self-directed learning support through advances in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML).”

Guided Practice aids students in learning autonomously after classroom sessions. Students use Guided Practice to master English Language Arts(ELA) and Math critical standards in an empathetic learning environment irrespective of their proficiency levels.

Like a teacher, Guided Practice carefully learns from the students’ proficiency data and simplifies the learning process. It also offers lessons tailored to the student’s unique needs. Additionally, it provides hints and instructions to solve questions step-by-step in voice and visual aid format, motivating and engaging learners.
