The purpose of our workshop is to explain how students can show authentic mathematics knowledge by creating a digital math book. Our workshop will show how Ibook author can be used as a tool for students to show authentic learning and give students a sense of ownership over their learning. During our workshop we will review how various tools were combined into a digital book. The workshop will outline the process of digital book creating from start to finish. We will show how students accessed mathematics knowledge using the digital tools such as Kahoot.it, Quizz.zz,; and we will discuss how the data from these tools can drive instruction. From there, the workshop will show how students used ExplainEverything to create screencasts explaining how to use mathematics to solve problems. Finally, student put all the pieces together creating a digital book that not only explained math, but linked the math that they learning to the world around them.
