After teaching & practicing writing with students, I have them write a paragraph on their own. On the day I return the graded paragraph, they all get to make a sub with only the parts of the paragraph they have in their graded work....no conclusion, no bottom bun :-) only one supporting sentence, only one condiment. It is a ton of fun to watch the kids make and eat their subs.
