Once upon a time there were three bears, a papa, a mama and a baby. They were going to eat. Their porridge was too hot to eat, so they went for a walk.
Goldilocks came along and went into their house.
She was hungry and saw the food. Papa Bear’s porridge was too hot. Mama Bear’s porridge was too cold. Baby Bear’s porridge was just right. She ate all of it!
Goldilocks wanted to rest. She saw 3 chairs. Papa Bear’s chair was too hard. Mama Bear’s chair was too soft. Baby Bear’s chair was just right. But, Goldilocks broke it!
She was tired. Goldilocks saw 3 beds. Papa Bear’s bed was too hard. Mama Bear’s bed was too soft. Baby Bear’s bed was just right. She went fast sleep.
Then, the 3 bears came home. They saw what happened to the porridge, the chair, and Goldilocks in the bed.
The bears roared.
Goldilocks woke up and jumped out a window, running all the way home.
Story #2-Goldilocks, rewritten from memory
Once upon a time there were three bears who lived in a cottage in the woods. Papa Bear, Mama Bear and Baby Bear. The bears loved a good healthy breakfast. One morning, Mama Bear cooked porridge.
It was too hot to eat, so they went for a walk while it cooled off.
A pretty girl, Goldilocks, had gone into the woods alone. She smelled the food.
She went up to the cottage. No one answered her knock on the door. She went inside.
Here Goldilocks saw three bowls of porridge. She was hungry. She tried the first bowl. It was too hot. She tried the second bowl. It was too cold. She tried the third bowl. It was just right. She ate it all!
Then she saw three chairs. She sat in the first chair. It was too hard. She tried the second chair. It was too soft. She sat in the third chair. It was just right, but it broke!
Goldilocks was getting very sleepy after eating all the porridge. She looked for a bed. She found three beds. The first bed was too high and the second was too low. The third bed was just right. She laid down and went to sleep.
The bears got home and saw their porridge. Papa Bear and Mama Bear said, “Someone’s been eating my porridge”. Baby Bear said, “Someone’s been eating my porridge and it’s all gone!”
Then they saw their chairs. Papa and Mama Bear said, “Someone’s been sitting in my chair.” Baby Bear said, “Someone’s been sitting in my chair and it’s broken!”
Now they decided to take naps. When they saw their beds, Papa Bear and Mama Bear said, “Someone’s been sleeping in my bed”. Baby Bear said, “Someone’s been sleeping in my bed and she’s still there!”
