Ways to Represent Data
By EducationCommonsRW
This is the second lesson in the series, "Data Handling." The video demonstrates how to compare data using box and whisker plots and how to decide the most appropriate way to represent data graphically.

Reading pictographs
By Khan Academy
Common sense tells you that a pictograph must be some kind of....picture. Yes! A pictograph is basically a way to represent data with pictures that relate to the data. Let's look at this word problem that asks to interpret a pictograph.

Inferring population mean from sample mean | Probability and Statistics | Khan Academy
By Khan Academy
Much of statistics is based upon using data from a random sample that is representative of the population at large. From that sample mean, we can infer things about the greater population mean. We'll explain.
Stem and Leaf Plot
By Turtlediary
A stem and leaf plot shows a large amount of data in a clear way by listing it in order of place value. A stem and leaf plot is generally used when data has multi-digit numbers. In this kind of plot, the ones digit of each number in the data is separated from the other digits. The plot has two columns. The first column, called the “stem”, lists all of the digits in the tens place and beyond, in order. A vertical line divides the stem from the “leaves” (the second column). This second column shows the ones place of each number in the data, also in order. Every number in the leaf column represents a number from the data. Its ones place is in the leaf, and the tens place and beyond are in the stem.
[5.G.2-1.0] Points in Coordinate Plane - Common Core Standard - Word Problem
By Freckle by Renaissance
Represent real world and mathematical problems by graphing points in the first quadrant of the coordinate plane. Front Row is a free, adaptive, Common Core aligned math program for teachers and students in kindergarten through eighth grade. Front Row allows students to practice math at their own pace - learning advanced concepts when they're ready and receiving remediation when they struggle. Front Row provides teachers with access to a detailed data dashboard and weekly email reports that show which standards are causing students difficulty, what small groups can be formed for interventions, and how their students are progressing in math.
