00:0-1 | Good day . Welcome to Tech Math channel . I'm
00:01 | josh in this video , we're going to be having
00:03 | a look at some types of riddles that come out
00:05 | three of them and these are ones that involve relationships
00:08 | here . They've usually got a bit of a tongue
00:10 | twister element applied to them . And hopefully by the
00:12 | end of this video you're going to be really good
00:15 | at answering these types of riddles for the different ones
00:17 | that come up . So these are three examples we're
00:20 | going to have a look at if Teresa's daughter is
00:22 | my daughter's mother , what am I to Teresa ,
00:25 | the second one , I'm your mother's brother's only brother
00:29 | and more . Who am I ? And this third
00:31 | riddle . Brothers and sisters . I have none .
00:33 | But this man's father is my father's son and who
00:36 | is the guy talking about ? So we're gonna go
00:38 | through these in order from probably the easiest to the
00:41 | hardest ones . And hopefully you're gonna see a system
00:44 | within this about how you can go through and solve
00:47 | these . So let's get to the first one ,
00:50 | Okay . To our first riddle and this one is
00:52 | probably the easiest out of all of them . I'm
00:54 | your mother's brother's only brother in law , who am
00:57 | I ? So pause this video and give it a
01:00 | try and when you're ready to see how to solve
01:01 | it , come back and start watching again . Okay
01:11 | , so time's up . How did you go ?
01:13 | Hopefully you went okay , and maybe you'll start seeing
01:16 | a bit of a system on how to solve these
01:18 | . The way that I go about doing these particular
01:20 | questions is as follows , I'm going to break this
01:23 | down into little parts . So first off , I
01:26 | am your mother's brother . Let's write that down who
01:29 | that actually is . So we have you and from
01:32 | there we have your mother , and more specifically we
01:37 | have your mother's brother . Okay , cool . So
01:40 | we've worked out this is the person who this very
01:43 | first section is talking about and we're looking for their
01:46 | only brother in law . So the brother in law
01:49 | of your mother's brother ? Well , she only has
01:52 | one brother in law . Well , which way can
01:54 | that go ? If you really think about it ,
01:56 | It's not going to be his wife and her brother
01:58 | . He only has one brother in law . In
02:00 | fact , it has to be the person who is
02:02 | married to your mother . In fact , it will
02:05 | have to be your father . So who am I
02:09 | If I'm your mother's brother's only brother in law ,
02:12 | that means I am your father . So that's how
02:15 | you go about solving these ones . Once you've got
02:17 | this bit of information sort of nailed down as you'll
02:19 | see , they're fairly easy . So what about we
02:22 | have a look at another one of these . Okay
02:25 | , rule number two and this one I remember as
02:27 | a kid , I used to find this one pretty
02:28 | hard . It used to confuse me a fair bit
02:31 | . A man is looking at a picture of a
02:32 | man on the wall and states , brothers and sisters
02:35 | . I have none . But this man's father is
02:37 | my father's son , who is the man in the
02:40 | picture in relation to the man looking at the picture
02:43 | . So we're going to be looking specifically at this
02:46 | piece of information here . So once again pause this
02:50 | video . If you'd like to give this problem a
02:52 | chance and when you're ready to see how to solve
02:54 | it , come back again . Yeah , So time's
03:03 | up . How did you go ? The treat of
03:05 | doing this particular problem is in the very last fraser
03:09 | , my father's son , we're going to start out
03:11 | by just thinking about that one to say , I
03:14 | was thinking about me and my father and from there
03:18 | I was thinking about who my father's son is .
03:21 | Well , my father's son , that's going to be
03:24 | me because brothers and sisters , I have known ,
03:26 | it can't be one of my brothers , it has
03:28 | to be me because I don't have any brothers ,
03:30 | so brothers and sisters , I have none . But
03:33 | this man's father is my father's son could be rewritten
03:37 | if I know this now is being me is this
03:39 | man's father is me brothers , sisters , I have
03:42 | none , but this man's father is me , this
03:45 | man's father is me , who am I talking about
03:48 | ? Well , if you really think about that logically
03:50 | , I'm saying this man's father is me , Who
03:53 | am I the father of ? Well I'm the father
03:55 | of my son . So this is talking about my
03:59 | son or in relation to this guy , here he
04:02 | is looking at a picture of his son . So
04:05 | you're probably noticing a bit of a part in here
04:07 | . So let's see how you go . On the
04:08 | third riddle . So this is the third and final
04:11 | riddle we're going to be having a look at and
04:13 | I've left it to last because it's one that happens
04:15 | to be making its way around the internet as we
04:17 | speak . And this is the riddle . If Teresa's
04:20 | daughter is my daughter's mother , what am I to
04:23 | Theresa ? I'm a her grandmother , be her mother
04:28 | , see her daughter D her granddaughter . Or e
04:32 | I am Teresa . So , pause the video once
04:35 | again . And if you'd like to see how to
04:37 | solve it , start up again . Okay , sometimes
04:48 | up how did you go did you manage her ?
04:50 | Well , owners ? Show you how to solve this
04:52 | right now . So I'll reread this if Teresa's daughter
04:55 | is my daughter's mother , what am I to Teresa
04:58 | ? I'm her grandmother , be her mother , see
05:01 | her daughter d her granddaughter . What e I am
05:04 | Teresa . So once again , what I'm going to
05:07 | be doing here is I am going to make it
05:09 | about me now , obviously this is a female agenda
05:11 | question . So in this I probably should put on
05:14 | a female voice , but I won't . So let's
05:16 | do this . So first off let's make it about
05:19 | this part here . My daughter's mother now was to
05:23 | think about this and I've got me and I have
05:27 | my daughter and I am a female agenda . My
05:31 | daughter's mother would in fact be me . Okay ,
05:35 | so we can reword this particular question and actually cross
05:39 | out this part here and just say me because that's
05:42 | who it's talking about . So if Teresa's daughter is
05:45 | me , what am I to Teresa ? This is
05:47 | nice and easy now , right ? That means I
05:50 | am her daughter . Okay , so a nice easy
05:54 | question once you get rid of those particular parts there
05:57 | . So , anyway , how did you end up
05:58 | going with those ? Did you end up getting those
06:00 | right ? If you enjoyed solving these riddles , please
06:02 | share this video and put in the comments below how
06:04 | you went . Anyway , thank you for watching .
06:07 | And we'll see you next time . Bye . |
