00:0-1 get a and welcome to the Tech Math channel .
00:01 In this video , we're going to be continuing on
00:03 looking at some special little trick when dividing by the
00:07 nine times table , how to get answers instantly with
00:09 this . So in the first video we're just introducing
00:12 into this trick and using it quite an easy example
00:14 . So the links right here , if you haven't
00:16 seen that one , this one , we're going to
00:18 start dealing with things like remains and how you deal
00:21 with those in the next one , we're going to
00:22 actually go into bigger numbers . So here we go
00:25 . I recommend if you haven't seen that first video
00:27 , go back and have a look , but you
00:28 might be able to pick up off what we're doing
00:30 right now . So this one is going to end
00:32 up with a remainder . Okay , so say we
00:35 get a number , like I'll better get a pen
00:37 going here And we start with a number such as
00:41 , um , let's say 121,031 and 31 we divide
00:48 this number by nine . Okay , we can tell
00:51 this number is going to have a remainder because funnily
00:54 enough you can tell these digits here . Don't add
00:56 up to a number that is divisible by nine .
00:58 Okay , you might be able to notice that one
00:59 plus two plus one is four plus three is seven
01:04 plus one is eight . So there's actually going to
01:06 probably be a remainder of eight . I can tell
01:07 you that right now . Okay , so let's get
01:10 this answer going right now . All right . So
01:13 first off what we did is we put this number
01:15 down here . This number as you remember , the
01:17 very first number becomes the first part of our answer
01:19 . So this one is the first part of our
01:21 answer . Then we Add to to get the next
01:23 part three . We had one to get the next
01:26 part four . We had nothing to get the next
01:29 part which is also four . And then we add
01:31 three to the next part , which gives us the
01:34 next part of our answer , which is seven .
01:35 Now this very last number , we do something different
01:38 . We add it but we don't actually add it
01:40 to the answer here . We're going to then add
01:42 it and then divided by nine . I'll show you
01:44 what I mean . So seven plus one is eight
01:47 and we divide this number By . 9.8 divided by
01:50 nine . You can't do so the remainder becomes an
01:54 eight . We'll put that down as remainder eight .
01:57 Okay . Hey , that's pretty easy . Yeah ,
01:59 I told you was going to be a reminder of
02:01 aid as well . All right . Hopefully you do
02:04 really , really well with that . In the next
02:06 video , we're going to go to some bigger numbers
02:08 , you know , some some much bigger numbers where
02:11 you are going to have to carry the odd little
02:12 thing across . Okay . It's not always as easy
02:15 as a lot of people put the examples always on
02:17 Youtube , where there are always the ones which works
02:19 so easily . Okay . Some of them are a
02:21 little bit harder . This next video is going to
02:23 have a look at that . So I hope to
02:25 see you then . Bye .
