00:0-1 Hello , friends . Today we'll learn about energy .
00:05 Yeah , energy is the ability to do work .
00:09 It takes energy to play to stand up . There
00:16 are many types of energy which all fall into two
00:19 primary types . The energy of moving objects called the
00:24 kinetic energy and the energy that is stored called the
00:27 potential energy . Let's see the different types of energy
00:31 . One by one . Gravitational energy . It is
00:35 associated with gravity or gravitational force . It is the
00:40 energy held by an object because of its high position
00:44 compared to a lower position , for example , Mm
00:48 . See these elephants . This one has more gravitational
00:52 potential energy as it is on higher ground , and
00:56 this one has less . Whereas gravitational force acting on
01:00 both is the same thermal or heat energy . It
01:05 is created from the vibration of molecules and atoms within
01:09 substances . The faster they move , the more energy
01:14 they produce and the hotter they become chemical energy .
01:19 It is the potential of a chemical substance that undergoes
01:22 a transformation through a chemical reaction to transform other chemical
01:27 substances . Mm . For example , the food we
01:31 eat is digested to convert chemical energy into other forms
01:36 of energy used by cells electrical energy . It is
01:41 generated by moving electric charges called electrons . Lighting and
01:46 electric cells are examples of electrical energy , radiant or
01:52 light energy . It is a form of electromagnetic radiation
01:57 . Light travels in waves , and it's the only
02:00 kind of energy humans can see . For example ,
02:04 the energy from the sun nuclear energy . It is
02:09 the energy that holds together the nucleus of atoms .
02:12 It is released during nuclear fusion . Elastic energy .
02:18 Uh , see this toy with spring elastic objects like
02:23 an elastic band or coiled spring stores . Elastic energy
02:27 . When a force causes them to be squashed or
02:30 stretched mechanical or motion energy , it is the energy
02:36 associated with the position and motion of an object sound
02:41 energy . It is produced when sound waves move outward
02:45 from a sound source or a vibrating object . The
02:49 standard unit of measure for energy is the jewel ,
02:53 which is abbreviated as J . Oh yes , it's
02:57 time to learn the law of conservation of energy .
03:00 It states that energy can never be created nor destroyed
03:05 , but it can be transformed from one type to
03:08 another . Conservationists classify the energy into two types ,
03:14 renewable and nonrenewable . Non renewable are those energy sources
03:20 , which cannot renew itself or takes millions of years
03:24 for its formation . These include nuclear fuels , petroleum
03:29 , natural gas , coal , etcetera . Renewable energy
03:34 is those energy sources which can be renewed easily by
03:37 physical , chemical or biological process . Examples are wind
03:42 power from windmills and solar power from the sun .
03:47 We should save energy as much as possible . Saving
03:51 energy can reduce greenhouse gas emissions and contribute to a
03:55 healthier planet . Now you know a lot about energy
04:00 . Stay tuned by by .
