00:01 All right . Well , welcome , everybody . Welcome
00:04 to you . Size me 2021 . Be boldly unscripted
00:07 . You may recall that we did a session earlier
00:12 today on how to get the most out of your
00:14 use as B 2021 unscripted experience . However , we
00:20 failed to start the recording , so we wanted to
00:24 actually bring up . This is one of the things
00:25 you learn when you're doing some things under pressure for
00:29 the first time is that even though something looks like
00:32 it might be recording , you really have to see
00:35 it say recording and then watching the time take away
00:38 just the things circling does not mean it's recording ,
00:41 just in case you're wondering . Ok , so we're
00:44 going to share the share the power point with you
00:46 and some of the key points and some of the
00:48 questions that came up from our excellent attendees that were
00:52 a part of the session today . All right ,
00:54 so here we go . We're gonna share screen here
01:04 . Okay . Are we good ? We're good .
01:07 Okay . So here is your conference team . So
01:15 our conference team is comprised of myself , Tammy ,
01:19 When Julie Shields and Asian our intern , if you
01:23 have any questions please feel free to reach out to
01:25 any of us throughout your unscripted experience this week .
01:30 We've been pretty much living on caffeine and anxiety for
01:34 about the past 10 days , so I'm sure we're
01:38 gonna be this happy and smiling . But we will
01:41 were totally focused on making sure that you enjoy your
01:43 experience . So grab a cup of coffee and we're
01:46 going to go through a top 10 list off ways
01:49 to be unscripted at Utah's B 2021 . All right
01:53 , Number 10 . Be sure I had your favorite
01:55 sessions . Thio your calendar . To do this ,
01:58 visit the agenda on the visible website . Select the
02:02 sessions you're interested in , and you'll see that side
02:04 bar pop up and in that side bar at the
02:06 top . Ter in the center is a button says
02:09 Add the calendar . When you hit that button ,
02:12 it will give you options for I calendar Yahoo calendar
02:15 all calendars that you can think of and add them
02:18 to your personal calendar . This will be sure toe
02:22 help ensure that you do not miss your favorite sessions
02:28 . Absolutely . And if you do Mrs session due
02:31 to technical difficulties or something , they should not .
02:35 Whatever happens , they will be recorded for your viewing
02:38 pleasure . After from your review . Absolutely pleasure .
02:43 It depends , but they will all be there .
02:46 And you access those recordings by going back to the
02:49 agenda . And it will say view presentation like once
02:52 it's ready , which usually takes about an hour to
02:55 two hours after the session ends . Then you'll be
02:58 able to go in and actually view it . And
02:59 this does work when you actually hit record , which
03:02 we all will , we will . Every single one
03:05 of us would be great . Number 90 . Collaborate
03:08 . Make sure that you participate in the collaboration sessions
03:11 . They're happening every day between three and 5 p.m.
03:14 Eastern . We have the emerging research paper track ,
03:16 the emerging teaching exercises and the emerging programming going on
03:20 . The presenters in there have prepared short videos .
03:23 They're there for feedback , and I an idea gathering
03:27 . So please go in , engage participate of the
03:31 discuss it , and who knows you might meet your
03:35 next research collaborator in there . Absolutely . And Stephanie
03:39 , Craig and Jen have done an amazing job of
03:40 curating the session so that you've got some good ,
03:43 um , similarly topic kind of , uh , ideas
03:49 that air they're happening during those times , all right
03:52 , so socialize and network . We've got some planned
03:55 and much more serendipitous kinds of social networking that social
04:01 socialization and networking that's going to happen . So the
04:04 main thing we want to show you is at the
04:08 in the visible platform . There is the community ,
04:11 and that's where you can really see and and drill
04:13 down and see different people in different , uh ,
04:16 different organizations that they belong . Thio Different job titles
04:20 on did really get to know the people that are
04:22 at the conference . You will see their names in
04:24 the platform if they're in your session . Be sure
04:27 to write those down or click on them so that
04:29 you can get to know that individual more . If
04:31 you see some comments , you're like , Oh ,
04:33 that's an interesting question I might like to to follow
04:34 up with that person about that in particular . So
04:37 the platform itself busy Bo is very powerful . You're
04:40 able to connect with people in that way , but
04:42 there's also two other ways that you can do socialization
04:45 and networking . Every evening will be utilizing mixed rose
04:49 . It could also be mixed draws . I have
04:52 a problem with you saw you saw as sad BU
04:55 size be a little bit too , so it could
04:56 be mixed draws or mixed rose . And , um
04:59 , these are curated as well , so they're topical
05:02 . We've got the first one on equity and inclusion
05:04 , and you'll have some hosts . For the kickoff
05:08 . You'll go into the visible platform . You'll click
05:10 into the mix . You'll meet some of the hosts
05:12 . Then they will help you figure out how to
05:15 download the app to your phone . How toe Enter
05:19 the mix code and then you'll answer a few questions
05:22 and you'll be put into , uh , group Small
05:26 group so that you can talk with people about all
05:29 different kinds of things . But it's basically the people
05:31 that are coming to that mix on Tuesday are interested
05:34 in equity and inclusion . We also have mixes set
05:38 up with the Assad's Be bored . We have mix
05:40 is set up for research challenges and opportunities and for
05:45 teaching entrepreneurship . Post Kobe did . Everything has changed
05:49 , so there's all different kind of mixes and then
05:51 a final mixes about awards and celebrations and just being
05:55 glad that this week is over , eso there is
06:01 that the last thing which is much more of a
06:04 ability . It's like a platform for you to go
06:07 and meet with people and sit at virtual tables .
06:10 And that is called air meat . And we have
06:12 set up air meet sessions from 2 to 5 Eastern
06:15 time for you to just drop in there . And
06:18 you can either invite somebody to come with you that
06:20 you might have met on the visible platform that you
06:22 say , Hey , let's talk a little bit more
06:24 about this . Air meat is a great place to
06:26 do that . You just grab a table fit and
06:28 talk . So check that one out . It's kind
06:30 of fun . And you might even be able to
06:31 use that for ah , class or or ah ,
06:34 community event or something that you're planning . It is
06:37 free , So check that one out . Oh ,
06:42 this is yours . Sorry . The sure to visit
06:45 the exhibitors ? Every there are the exhibitor . Booths
06:50 are available 24 7 . Every day they're set up
06:55 . You can go in there . Someone will be
06:57 in there live from 2 to 3 Eastern Tuesday ,
07:00 Wednesday and Friday , and 3 to 4 on Thursday
07:03 . If you have questions that you would like to
07:04 ask someone in person . Absolutely . You get there
07:07 by going to the side of the uh website ,
07:10 the the conference website . There's , uh , something
07:13 that says Exhibitors up on the top . You click
07:15 on that . There's all the exhibitors that air below
07:17 and you click on the virtual booth in order to
07:19 get into that booth . All right , Number six
07:24 is celebrate awards . So on Friday , we have
07:27 a whole slew of awards that contributors on members of
07:32 Assad's be have been , um , preparing for for
07:36 34 months now . So we'll be talking about the
07:40 program Awards . The Model Program Award , very Coveted
07:43 award , The Emerging Program Award , The Excellence in
07:47 Pedagogical Innovation and the Excellence and Co Curricular Innovation will
07:50 all be announced on Friday , as well as two
07:53 of the lifetime achievement awards theme , The Max Wortmann
07:57 Award , as well as the Race Smiler Award .
08:00 We also will have the competitive papers announced on Friday
08:05 , and also the three awards will be announced on
08:07 Friday . Before then , we've got a couple other
08:10 special announcements are cigs will have their own awards ,
08:13 the social Entrepreneurship sig and the minority women's entrepreneurship sick
08:16 . Both have awards this year , and those will
08:19 be happening before Friday , but they will also be
08:22 shared on on Friday as well . I want to
08:25 sneak peek as to who wins those awards . Be
08:28 sure to check out their cig meetings this week .
08:30 So social entrepreneurship and minority and women's entrepreneurship The meetings
08:35 are located in the agenda on the visible platform .
08:38 Absolutely don't miss the entrepreneur Educator of the year will
08:41 actually not be on Friday . That's actually gonna be
08:44 on Thursday at lunchtime . Alright also compete . That's
08:50 another way . Number five is compete , so you
08:53 don't just have Thio . Uh , if you missed
08:56 out on the other competitions and awards those competitions that
08:59 are going to take place throughout January and into February
09:02 , you'll learn more about thes on Wednesday , when
09:05 we have the launch announcement for the research idea ,
09:08 pitch competition and for the rural entrepreneurship . Yeah ,
09:14 that was not an award . That's a fellowship ,
09:16 but that launch announcement is on Wednesday as well .
09:19 The other competition is with the emerging teaching exercises ,
09:23 So if you want to get engaged with those collaborative
09:26 events that are taking place in the second half of
09:28 the day , you might be able to just jump
09:30 in on one of those and compete for those as
09:32 well . Number four . Be sure to explore the
09:36 platforms . We have a multitude of platforms available for
09:41 the conference is a bow is our stage platforms so
09:45 the presentations will be happening there . Um , you
09:48 are able Thio Community communicate with others via the community
09:52 Tab were also utilizing mixed trust for specialization . Networking
09:57 . Hear me for those times when you see someone
10:00 in the comments and are like , Hey , let's
10:01 go follow up with the conversation . You can enable
10:04 the video chat and have a have a conversation with
10:07 them . Stayed ocracy . This is what we're using
10:09 for the research idea , pitch competition and the emerging
10:13 teaching exercises competitions . It's really cool . You set
10:16 up pitch competitions and it's a it's a service that
10:21 you can use in your classroom . Also , it's
10:25 General . It doesn't cost you anything . But if
10:27 there are money awards , the platform does take a
10:30 little bit of the of the award amount . Yeah
10:34 , like a credit card processing fee . Right ?
10:36 So , um , and it was developed by ,
10:38 uh , one of our of Florida Atlantic University's and
10:41 folks from Florida Atlantic . The last one is our
10:43 mobile app . We're really excited about this super excited
10:46 about the mobile app , but I want to be
10:48 clear about something that , uh , this is not
10:51 for the conference . This is year round mobile app
10:54 . And whether you're an apple or android user ,
10:56 you could go out to your APP store . Is
10:59 it called an app store with android Google play ?
11:02 All right . You can tell them an apple .
11:03 Me it nerd . So you go out downloaded .
11:07 It's free . It's available immediately to members . However
11:10 , I will say our USC intern reminded me that
11:14 if you signed up for the conference on the visible
11:17 platform , she needs a couple days to make sure
11:20 that your registration , your , uh , membership is
11:25 ported over to your membership properly and your membership is
11:30 the app that really is the application that really your
11:33 powers this . Okay , so it might take a
11:36 couple of days is the point if you if you
11:39 registered for the conference just now . Okay . Um
11:43 but all of our digital assets are available on the
11:47 mobile , So the e and P online the et
11:52 MP online e the analyst for Entrepreneurship , Education and
11:57 Pedigo . Dear online , we have teaching um ,
12:00 exercises that are online links and career center . Uh
12:05 , man , what else ? Oh , all the
12:09 six . Yeah . When you are looking to connect
12:12 with the cigs , join them through the act ,
12:15 you will get notifications . The big leaders will be
12:17 able to post events in there . You'll get push
12:21 notifications from your sick . So it's another way to
12:23 keep in touch with your sickening and engage . Absolutely
12:27 . And I know we're getting a little slap happy
12:28 here , but truly , this is one of the
12:31 things that will change . How you interact with use
12:35 , Osby how you interact with our community . Um
12:38 , I know we're really , really good at putting
12:40 on a conference once a year , right ? But
12:43 the relationship that you develop the conference , you can
12:45 keep in touch with people . And you can keep
12:47 people in the loop by utilizing these as being mobile
12:51 now . Yeah , All right . We also have
12:56 a bunch of workshops that are amazing . Um ,
12:59 after the conference , the first one was just held
13:02 today in 17 people in that workshop and the the
13:06 attendance ratios on all the rest of the workshops were
13:09 going up and up and up , So don't forget
13:11 , there's a wide range of topics available . There
13:13 are deep dive workshops on skills . There are deep
13:17 guys on teaching cases , learning journeys and some certifications
13:21 as well . So don't miss out on checking out
13:23 the workshops . You can still register for any workshop
13:26 that's taking place in January , and the check it
13:30 out and say is Check it out . It's worth
13:31 it . Um , if there's , there's something that
13:34 you're like Oh , I really need um like I've
13:36 got adjuncts who need certifications or I need to understand
13:39 a little bit more . I need a teaching case
13:42 that includes diversity . We've got some of those as
13:45 well . And remember , the workshops aren't just for
13:48 the all in ticket holders . All in ticket holders
13:50 get access Thio all of the workshops except for the
13:53 two certifications at no extra charge . But the workshops
13:57 themselves can be purchased on analogs heart basis with a
14:02 basic ticket or no ticket at all . Yeah ,
14:04 yeah , You don't even have to be a use
14:05 as remember in order to take advantage of the workshop
14:10 . Don't forget to take time for you . Absolutely
14:13 . During at the structure power brakes we have partnered
14:16 with we float toe offer yoga and mindfulness meditation .
14:21 Thio , Just take the time for you . So
14:24 you had a screen all day . It can be
14:26 hard and it's important , especially with this year that
14:29 we've had just heard . Be mindful . So we
14:33 encourage you to join participate in these sessions . They
14:37 will be live during these times . However , they'll
14:38 also be recorded . So if you miss it because
14:41 you're busy at another session , just join it later
14:46 . The number one meet with these things when we
14:50 say that we are all we love the six .
14:52 We love this eggs . They allow you to connect
14:55 with collaborate e collaborators within your own spirit of engagement
14:58 . By engaging with them , they really allow you
15:01 to kind of hone in on your your specific area
15:05 of interest within entrepreneurship . Education . You really find
15:09 your community within the six I find and they are
15:13 such a pleasure to work with . You'll love them
15:16 . The online conference opportunity allows you to visit more
15:23 signee tings than you would be able to in an
15:25 in person conference , so you will be able thio
15:29 jump in those meetings if you jump in one and
15:32 find out if maybe it's not for you . That's
15:34 okay . Try another one . Because that one maybe
15:37 Where you where you find your home . So meet
15:43 with the six . We would love to see you
15:45 , and they would , too . All right .
15:49 Well , there be problems . Yep . They'll happen
15:53 . Living proof . But if you have a problem
15:56 , send an email to info that you saw SB
15:58 dot org's and one of our conference team members are
16:00 just gonna be right on it . Okay ? We're
16:03 definitely about responding as quickly as possible to make sure
16:05 your conference is experience is as amazing as possible .
16:09 All right , that is it . We hope you're
16:13 unscripted . Experience is amazing . Let us know it
16:16 . Enjoy . You saw dot org's if it's not
16:19 or if it's amazing or if it's amazing . Yeah
