Read the passage and answer the question.

Marina knew it would be a long time before she saw her mother’s face again. When her grandmother asked her if she wanted to go on a two-week cruise to Alaska, Marina wasn't sure how to answer. Marina loved spending time with her grandma, but she had never been away from her mother and father for more than one night.

"You'll be alright, " Marina's mother had said when grandma told her about the idea. "I'll be right here waiting for you when you come back. You'll have a wonderful time with Grandma Mary."

As Marina looked back at the dock and waved to her mother, she knew her mother was right.
