Read the two passages about Louisiana and answer the question.

Louisiana

It has been said that the state of Louisiana is a melting pot of people. Many different ethnic groups that have settled into pockets of this great state. Not only are there Vietnamese, Spanish, and Europeans, but there are also two unique ethnic groups. These two groups are the Cajuns and the Creoles.
The Cajuns are the French Canadians that moved down from Canada to Southern Louisiana. They fled Canada because of a British imposed rule that attempted to force all Canadians to accept the King’s Protestant religion. Most of the French Canadians who moved to Louisiana were Catholics. When the Cajuns arrived in Louisiana they were accepted and allowed to practice any religion. As the Cajuns became more settled in Louisiana their customs and heritage began to impact the current populations’ way of life. The Cajuns impact is still seen today throughout Louisiana.
