A robot is a device that can do tasks that are difficult or impossible for human beings. A robot does not have to be shaped like a person; robots can be shaped like animals or machines. Law enforcement agencies have robots that can go into dangerous areas, which might cause injury to individuals and thereby help in maintaining law and order with ease. Medical facilities have microscopic robot cameras that go into areas of the human body, robot cameras bloodstreams, that are too small for a doctor to see. Military units have robotic devices such as drone airplanes that can deliver bombs without risk to the soldiers who are operating the planes. Robots are also being sent into outer space to explore areas that are too dangerous for humans to visit.
