Yesterday, I decided to bake a cake. I worked hard to mix the ingredients, poured them in a pan, and placed the pan into an oven. Twenty minutes later, I heard the timer got off and reached into the oven to pull it out. I quickly realized I had forgotten to put oven mitts on! As a result, I ended up with a yummy cake but extremely burned hands. Next time, I will make sure and wear the oven mitts so I can enjoy the cake.
