We love to read stories about things that have happened or make-believe.

These stories are called narratives. They have a setting (place where the story happened), characters (people or animals in the story), a story theme (problem, solution and sequence of events), and an ending or closure to the story.

Good narratives use descriptive words to make you want to read more. They also contain words that show the order of events (examples- first, next, then, last, finally, when, then, before, after, also). Some narratives have conversations in them, too.

Read the question and answer them to make your narrative story about going on a trip.

Words can help to show sequence of events in a story. Mark the words in the box if they do or do not show sequence.
