The Bluegrass State

There is water, wildlife, and mountains. Does this sound too good to be true? It really isn’t. These are just some of the things that keep people visiting Kentucky. Kentucky is home to wonderful places that make it a great area to visit.

Kentucky’s lakes offer many choices to keep you having fun. A visit to Cumberland Falls will leave you loving the huge waterfall. It has been nicknamed “the Niagara of the south”. If you are looking to do more than just see the water, a visit to beautiful Lake Cumberland might be a good stop for you. Here can you enjoy boating, fishing, or jet skiing. The Bluegrass State has much to offer for those that are looking for fun in the water.

Maybe, you are more of a wildlife person. Many people love the hunting in the western part of the state. Natural wildlife can be found throughout the area. Taking an excursion in the Daniel Boone National Forest is great too.

Or maybe you might want to learn more about Kentucky’s horses. You should visit one of the race tracks or horse farms. Visitors from all over the world have visited Churchill Downs for the Kentucky Derby. There are also several other races that can be viewed throughout the year. Other locations that allow you to enjoy Kentucky’s best thoroughbreds include the Kentucky Horse Park and Keeneland.

Kentucky’s tourism doesn’t stop there. Other favorites include Mammoth Cave and the home of Abraham Lincoln. Certainly, the Bluegrass State is filled with features that keep people visiting the Commonwealth.
