When you are in a group discussion, it is important to know what kind of questions to ask and what kind of answers can go with the type of question asked.

Here are 3 question types that help you to build on other conversation. Read the information and answer the questions.

1. Factual Questions- These questions have only one answer that can be found in the text. They ask you to recall the answer from a detail you find.

2. Interpretive Questions- These have answers that are not stated but are understood by reading the text. There can be more than one answer. You must still use the text to support the answers given. These questions are helpful in group discussions.

3. Evaluative Questions- These questions have answers that are based on what you already know and what you have learned. They are considered value and belief answers.
