Babe Ruth

Babe Ruth is arguably one of the best American baseball players of all time. His real name was George Herman Ruth and he was born in Baltimore, Maryland on February 6th in 1895. Babe Ruth was known to many as The Babe, The Bambino, and The Sultan of Swat. Babe made his name with his ability to hit home runs. He held the home run record of sixty from 1926 until the record was broken by one by Roger Maris in 1961. Babe played for three teams during his professional career. Those teams were the New York Yankees, the Boston Red Sox, and the Boston Braves. The Babe died at the age of 53 on August sixteen in 1948. He is still considered to be a legend in the world of baseball.

In what year did Babe Ruth capture the record for most home runs hit in a single season?
