Rosa Parks, famous for her actions during the Civil Rights movement, went back to high school to earn her high school diploma much later in her life. At that time, not many black people in Montgomery, Alabama finished school. Thanks to this diploma, she was able to get a job at Maxwell Field, an air force base not far from her home.
