Summer Visit

Robert was considering what to do during his summer vacation. His grandparents had invited him to stay with them for a few weeks. He enjoyed spending time with them, but he didn’t like the idea of being away from his friends for such a long time. Robert’s uncle, Tom, had offered him a part-time job for the summer, but Robert didn’t like the idea of being cooped up inside his uncle’s office three days week. Finally, Robert’s parents had offered to send him to soccer camp at the park on the other side of town. Robert enjoyed soccer, but he didn’t know which of his friends would be attending the camp, so he was reluctant to agree to attend. With all the available options, Robert was having a very difficult time figuring out what he really wanted to do over the summer.

What type of conflict is Robert experiencing?
