Ms Karol K Harden

Karol is a teacher of mathematics with a vast experience of more than 15 years. She is passionate about teaching and has mentored her peers in best practices of math instruction.She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Middle Tennessee State University in Elementary Education and an active certification from the State of Tennessee as a Professional Educator for grades first through eighth.

Karol was employed in the Maury County Public School System in Columbia, Tennessee for 15 years from 1999-2014. During this tenure, she has spent a major part of her career in teaching students with disabilities in high population, high poverty areas. Karol was selected as Teacher of the Year by her co-workers in 2008 for her contributions in the teaching field. Prior to this, Karol worked for 10 years for the Maury County Family YMCA as the Director of Childcare Services managing a Preschool Program with an enrollment of 100+ children and a staff of 12 full-time teachers.

Mrs. Marisa Adams

Marisa Adams has worked in education industry for the past 13 years. She taught 8th grade US History and was a campus level administrator at the elementary, junior high, and high school levels. She has served as a curriculum writer and assessor. Her education related publications include two district wide curriculum guides for Katy Independent School District and a curriculum guide for Lumos Learning. She has worked as a presenter at numerous conferences and staff developments. In addition to her campus level work, Marisa serves on U.S. Congressman Michael McCaul’s Educational Advisory Board, and is a member of Texas Council of Women School Executives, American Supervision and Curriculum Development, Phi Kappa Phi, and Delta Kappa Gamma. She has been recognized three times in the Who’s Who in Educational Leadership publication. On a side note, Marisa recently released her first novel.

Mrs. Julie Lyons

Julie Lyons is an educator with more than 13 years of experience in this field and a parent of two.She has been a classroom teacher in both elementary and middle school settings, teaching all subjects (at the elementary level) and Language Arts and Math (at the middle school level). In addition, she served for three years as an instructional coach. In this position, she was responsible for planning, creating and facilitating workshops and meetings related to best practices in teaching, learning and curriculum development.

Ms. Keyana Martinez

Keyana Martinez is a state certified teacher with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. She completed her studies at DePaul University in Chicago, IL. Mrs. Martinez has been working in the education field for the past 6 years. She has worked as a teacher, tutor, and freelance curriculum developer.

Ms. April LoTempio

April LoTempio has 14 years of experience teaching grades K-6. She earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Elementary Education from Buffalo State College in New York. She has taught Remedial Reading as well as general classroom for grades 6, 5, and 2. April is now a full-time writer of educational materials and is pursuing her MBA at the University at Buffalo.

Ms. Nicole Fernandez

Nicole Fernandez is a National Board Certified Teacher in Adolescent/Young Adult Mathematics. She received her Master degree in Education from Arizona State University and is currently pursuing a second degree in Educational Technology. Over the past ten years, she has served as a middle school and high school teacher, academic coach, and curriculum specialist. Nicole absolutely loves to craft lessons that allow students to experience mathematics through discovery, creation, and application.

Mrs. Renee Bade

Renee Bade – M. Ed joined the education industry in 2008 as a second career after over 15 years in industry at a variety of different callings from automotive lab technician, to antifreeze researcher, to environmental and safety professional, to consultant and business owner. In 2006 Renee returned to school and obtained a Masters degree in Education specializing in Middle School Math. Her educational career spans eight years during which time she has taught math curriculums from Grade 7 to Grade 12 in a plethora of classroom environments and as a personal tutor.

Mrs. Julie Turner

Mrs. Julie Turner is a National Board Certified English Language Arts teacher with more than 14 years of experience. She has been a classroom teacher in both elementary and middle school settings, teaching all subjects (at the elementary level) and specializing in literacy (at the middle school level). She has a B.S.E. in Elementary Education with concentration areas in English and Spanish and a M.S.E. in Curriculum & Instruction, both from Arkansas State University. She has successfully completed the ESL Graduate Academy at Henderson State University certifying her to teach English as a Second Language for grades P-12. She has taught at Southside Middle School, West Magnet Visual & Performing Arts Magnet School, Eagle Mountain Health Wellness & International Studies Magnet School, and Mountain View Middle School where she has served as a Pathwise Mentor to novice teachers across the state. Mrs. Turner is married to a history teacher, and they have two children.

Mrs. Heather Dorey

Heather Dorey is an educator with over 13 years’ experience as a classroom teacher, gifted education teacher, and curriculum writer. Heather’s favorite age group is middle school, particularly 6th grade language arts and social studies, but she has enjoyed working with students at all levels from Kindergarten through 8th grade. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, Heather enjoys curriculum planning almost as much as she loves teaching. Originally from Arizona, Heather currently resides in Northeast Tennessee with her two teenage daughters, husband, three dogs, and two cats. When she’s not working Heather enjoys reading, doing various craft projects, cooking, hiking, and traveling.

Mrs . Stacy Zeiger

Stacy Zeiger is a former 8th grade English teacher, turned freelance writer. She is focused on helping educators and parents find ways to improve their students’ and children’s education. As a stay-at-home mom and military wife, Stacy has unique experiences to bring to her work. She regularly blogs about education and parenting, develops creative educational activities, writes lesson plans and creates workbooks for all age-levels and subject areas.

Mr. Aaron Spencer

Aaron Spencer is an educator with experience in various realms of the field, including tutoring, teaching, and curriculum development. He has taught and tutored in various counties in the middle Tennessee area over a period of about ten years. His areas of interest include math, Bible, Spanish, and Greek, among other things. He also enjoys playing/coaching soccer and other sports. His wife and seven children are a huge part of his life! Emily, his fifth child, is pictured with him. Though he calls Dickson, TN home, he was actually born in Anchorage, Alaska, where he lived for the first ten years of his life, and has also spent three years living in the state of Oaxaca in southern Mexico..

Mrs. Jennifer Dermer

Jennifer Dermer – M.Ed., brings a mix of education and international expertise. She has 15+ years of experience in teaching English and English as a Second Language at various levels. Jennifer has taught everything from Kindergarten through the University Level as well as adults in the workplace, both in the United States (NY and CA) and in France, where she lived and worked for nine years. The combination of skills in Jennifer’s education and career (B.S.: Marketing Communications, M.Ed.) allows her as an English teacher to successfully meet her students’ needs, whether for business, tourism, academic, or personal reasons.

Mrs. Jenny Carey

Mrs. Carey is a certified teacher and has taught elementary grades from 1 – 6, specializing in Math and Science. She has taught in both public and charter schools in Connecticut and New York City. She received her Master’s degree from Northeastern University in Boston, MA, and is now pursuing a Law degree.

Ms. Mariana Christophe

Ms. Christophe is an 8th grade language arts and special education teacher in Hillsdale, New Jersey. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in English and Education from Bucknell University and her Master’s Degree in Learning Disabilities from Teachers College, Columbia University. Before teaching in New Jersey, she taught high school for five years in New York City.

Mrs. Lisa Calamari

Mrs. Calamari is an accomplished teacher in one of the top school district in NJ. She has a Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction and a Masters degree in Educational Administration from Caldwell College in Caldwell, NJ and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA. She has been a middle school English teacher for over 8 year and does curriculum writing for her school.

Mrs. Villanueva

Mrs. Villanueva is a high school language arts teacher at Bowman High School in Santa Clarita, CA. She has a single-subject teaching credential in English and a Master’s Degree in Education. Mrs. Villanueva has been teaching for 5 years and absolutely loves what she does; she enjoys creating and planning fun and creative curriculum lessons for her “at-risk” high school students.

Ms. Grimes

Rachel Grimes is a fifth grade teacher who has a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and double minors in Math and Science. She is currently pursuing her Masters of Education Degree in Teaching and Learning. Miss Grimes has taught fifth grade for two years, kindergarten for a year, and kindergarten through sixth grade in a one room school house setting. Living in Salmon, Idaho Miss Grimes enjoys outdoor life, her five year old daughter, and teaching her fifth graders in new, exciting, hands-on ways!

Mr. Applegate

Mr. Applegate has taught in the Piscataway Township School District for ten years. He has taught on the second and third grade levels. His expertise is in mathematics and he uses his knowledge of the subject to create exciting and meaningful lessons for his students. He graduated from The College of New Jersey (Trenton State College) in 1996 with a degree in Elementary Education and Mathematics. He is an active member on the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics He has also participated in curriculum writing committees for the Piscataway School District.

Ms. Thau

Ms. Thau is an accomplished educator at Glenwood School in Short Hills, NJ. She earned a Master’s degree in Education with a concentration in Reading and Special Education and a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary/Special Education from Saint Joseph’s University. She is certified as an elementary education, special education, and reading specialist. She currently teaches first grade at Glenwood School and participates in curriculum writing for the Millburn Township School District.

Ms. Kaspin

Ms. Kaspin is an accomplished teacher at South Mountain School, Millburn, NJ. She has a Master of Arts degree in Teaching from the Montclair State University, Montclair, NJ and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism/Communications from the Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ. She is a member of the Lambda Pi Eta honors society. She has taught at Warren Point Elementary School, Oak Street Elementary School, Eastampton Elementary School, and Eastampton prior to her current work at South Mountain School.

Ms. Wecks

Ms. Wecks is a teacher and writer from Northern California. She has taught for 5 years in San Francisco Bay Area schools. She graduated from UC Davis with a Bachelor’s Degree and has a Masters Degree in Education from California State University East Bay. She has experience teaching in all elementary levels and in special education.

C. Osvaldo Gomez

C. Osvaldo Gomez has been a high school Assistant Principal for ten years in CA. He’s been featured in newspaper for his work as an educator. He’s also a published author of creative short fiction, and blogger at where he writes about his investing and entrepreneurial experiences for educators and other professionals.

Misty Bailey

Misty Bailey is a Christian wife and homeschool mom. She resides with her family in Southern Ohio. She loves helping new homeschoolers and has a Homeschool 101 eBook for those getting started. She shares her struggles with time management, becoming unglued and finding joy in the everyday moments on her blog Joy in the Journey. You can also find her on Facebook and Pinterest.

Mr. Eric Ibsen-Johnson, M.Ed.

Eric Ibsen-Johnson has worked in the world of education for 16+ years in the great state of Texas. He has taught math from grade 6 all the way to high school. He also has worked in technology, helping teachers incorporate its use in their classrooms. He has been a presenter at both local conferences and for staff developments, a Trainer of Trainers, and a Mentor for new teachers. Helping students realize that they can do math, no matter what they’ve been told in the past, is his passion. He is the sole proprietor of his business, Success! Tutoring, which focuses on helping all students be successful in math, including college students.

Ms. Brummitt-Yale

Ms. Brummitt-Yale is a certified teacher (BA in English and a M.Ed. in Middle Grades Language Arts) and has 10 years experience in public school education in North Carolina. She now teaches developmental writing at the college level.

Mrs. Provenzano

Attended Grove City College, where she received her BS in Math and Biology.  Subsequently obtained a masters degree in Educational Technology and a two year degree in Electrical Engineering.
She has taught high school mathematics in North Carolina Public Schools. She has also tutored through the Sharon School System in Sharon, Pennsylvania.  She is passionate about using technology to help children learn and succeed.

Mr. Miller

Mr. Miller has extensive teaching experience and currently teaches Math at the Summit High School, NJ. He has a Bachelors degree in Business Administration and Marketing from the Rider University, NJ. He has taught at Clifton, Washington Academy prior to his teaching assignment at the Northern Valley Regional School District.

Mr. Cullen

Mr. Cullen has 11 years of teaching experience. He has taught both Social Studies and Language Arts. He also has a successful track record for tutoring students to excel in the SAT, AP, HSPA, GEPA and NJ ASK tests.

Ms. Bradfield

Ms. Bradfield is a special education teacher with over 12 years experience. She has a Master’s Degree in Special Education along with a Supervisor Certificate. She has taught in both private and public schools throughout New Jersey. She currently teaches at Bound Brook, NJ. She has taught at Newark, Chester, Chatham, and Randolph schools prior to her current teaching assignment.
