Connecticut State Department of Education releases New Smarter Balanced Assessments results all over the state for the academic year 2014-15.

According to the State Department of Education 55.4% students out of which 11 students from Grade 3-8 are meeting or exceeding achievement level in English Language Arts(ELA). 39.1% of students are meeting or exceeding achievement level in Math. Both subject results matched state official’s expectations.

These scores for this academic year shows that English Language Arts is exceeding the expectations significantly. In Grade 4, 43% students met proficiency standard and 55% of Grade 4 students met or exceeded the achievement level in ELA.

45% students from Grade 8 met reading proficiency standard whereas 54% students met or exceeded the achievement level in ELA.

29.7% Grade 3 students and 30.7% Grade 4 students have performed well and exceeded the achievement level. They emerged as young State’s young readers with bright faces.
