About SBAC
Smarter Balanced is an online assessment system provider housed in UCLA’s Graduate School of Education & Information Studies (GSE & IS).A group of 15 states support this public agency and are currently using these assessments instead of the state standardized tests. This new age assessment system is focused on improving teaching and also learning.
These Math & English Language Arts/Literacy assessments are available for Grades 3-8 and 11. They include summative assessments that include performance tasks and computer adaptive tasks that help with both student accountability and also are useful for instruction.
