NUMBERS
Integers
- All Positive Numbers - {1, 2, 3, .....}
- Zero - {0}
- All Negative Numbers - {-1, -2, -3, .....}
- Does NOT include Fractions and Decimals.
Natural
- All Positive Numbers - {1, 2, 3, .....}
- Does NOT include Fractions and Decimals.
Whole
- Zero and All Positive Numbers - {0, 1, 2, 3, .....}
- Does NOT include Fractions and Decimals.
Odd
- A number NOT exactly divisible by 2
- A number with UNITS digit as {1, 3, 5, 7, 9}
- Includes both negative and positive integers.
Even
- A number which is exactly divisible by 2.
- A number with UNITS digit as {0, 2, 4, 6, 8}
- Includes both negative and positive integers.
Prime
- A number that is only divisible by 1 and itself.
- Does NOT include negative numbers.
- 1 is NOT a prime number.
- 2 is the only EVEN prime number.
Composite
- A number which has factors other than 1 and itself.
- Does NOT include negative numbers.
- 1 is NOT a composite number.
Fractions
- A fraction is a part of a whole number.
- It is denoted by a/b , where a is the Numerator and b is the Denominator
Decimals
- A decimal number is a number having a decimal point.
- The decimal point is placed between UNITS place and TENTHS place.
- The number to the left of the decimal point is a full number.
- The number to the right of the decimal point is a part number.
