John Burk, Nathan Costa, Chris Jackson has organized an event called Using Good Data to Make Thoughtful Decisions about Schools Conference.This conference represents a unique collaboration between teachers and the designers of the College and Work Readiness Assessment (CWRA)*, a unique standardized assessment that uses performance tasks to key critical thinking skills that we know are essential to success in school and life. Unlike many efforts to use data in schools that are too often directed by external forces beyond the classroom and rely on shallow measures, this conference will focus on empowering teachers to use rich, authentic measures to ask their own questions about school improvement.
