Meet The Author
Rob Nasheema S. Dixon is a single mother and writer based in the heart of Queens, NY. Writing poetry has been a passion of hers since her adolescent years. After becoming a mother, Dixon decided to try writing for others. This journey began when she became a student at Laguardia Community College. At LAGCC, Dixon focused on improving her writing, graduating with an Associate of Arts in creative writing. Now, she’s excited to share her works with the world with a mission to empower women and children. "There are no limits to what you can do; there are no limits to who you can become," Dixon says. “Be clear and know this world needs you.”
Dear You, Young Boy is parallel to the children’s book Dear You, Young Girl. It is one long-length letter poem written to encourage and empower our youth to stay true to who they are and dare to be the best version of themselves that they can be. Living in a world where our young boys may face challenging obstacles, they need to know that they can dream and their dreams are more than possible.
