Writing Task 1

Here are some reminders for when you are completing this Writing Task:

• Using the situation given below as a guide, write a story in your own words.
• You may take notes, create a web, or do other prewriting work. Then, write your story on a sheet of paper.
• After you complete writing your composition, read whatever you have written. Make sure that your writing is the best it can be.
• After writing your answer, click on the appropriate radio button.

Writing Situation:

A really bad snowstorm hits your home town. It is predicted that the storm will last for three days. Everyone bought all the necessary supplies and made sure families and pets were safe before the storm came. The snow is coming down hard when you learn your elderly neighbor’s dog was left in the car by accident.

Writing Task:

Write a story about how you help your neighbor and her dog. In your story make sure to describe the situation and explain what you did to help.
