English Language Arts:
A total of 2,853,597 students across Grades 3 to 8 enrolled to take the ELA Assessments in 2016, out of which 2,770,893 students were tested.
It was found that from Grades 3-8, the results of Level 1(Not Meeting Expected Standards) were at an average of 29.6% and Level 2(Standards nearly Met) were at an average of 23.8%. At the same time, the results in Level 4 (Meeting Standard) were at an average of 28% and Level 5 (Exceeding Standard) were at an average of 18.6%.
Math:
A total of 2,853,571 students across Grades 3 to 8 enrolled to take the Mathematics Assessments in 2016, out of which 2,882,391 students were tested.
It was found that from Grades 3-8, the results of Level 1(Not Meeting Expected Standards) were at an average of 34% and Level 2(Standards nearly Met) were at an average of 28.6%. At the same time, the results in Level 4 (Meeting Standard) were at an average of 2.1% and Level 5 (Exceeding Standard) were at an average of 17%.
